Why is this happening. These dudes were bakersfield meth addicts. We really don’t need to popularize that again.

As bizarre as it may seem to anyone who lived through the era, the bigger nu-metal bands who are still around have simply become part of the "rock canon" as opposed to being this weird spinoff. Korn, Slipknot, Disturbed, etc...they're just absorbed into the mix with all "classic" bands now

The whole point of the song is the long-ass build-up to the epic orgasm. You can't just skip 90% of the journey and expect the same reward.

The point of the song is to be mostly ambient and boring. Listening to Fripp in the middle of the song play 2 notes repeatedly for 2 minutes, switch notes and repeat, 3 god damn times is like watching paint dry. This ripoff cuts out all the fat and is just more interesting in general.

The whole middle section of starless can barely even be considered music. You can't just have any assortment of noise and call it music, for something to be music it has to have a balance between rhythm harmony and melody, when you just spam 2 notes at the same rhythm with nothing else going on for an extended period of time, that's just not music.

Imagine trying to lecture Robert Fripp on what is or isn't considered music. Get out of here, pleb.

Yes, your inability to "get" King Crimson is certain proof that you're not the NPC with an absence of internal monologue and imagination in this conversation.

How is it that you can identify the time period of a late 90s / early 00s music video within seconds? Is it the hair gel?

It seems like there was one person/team responsible for filming and directing 80% of music videos from that era
