Browser + uBlock + NextDNS and never encountered a single ad yet. I think I will apply NextDNS to my router so that it blocks things worldwide, but I was worried about it slowing things down. I refuse to view ads. Not gonna happen google homosexuals.

No matter what they do, they will never get me to watch ads on their platform.

For the entire existence of youtube, I have never logged in, subscribed to anyone, never HIT THAT LIKE BUTTON, and don't see ads (ublock/brave). More recently, with the changes that youtube have made to non-logged-in-users (ignoring cookies and fucking up the suggestions into the most normoid shit possible), I've now downloaded freetube and am using that with no issues.

If at any point this stops working, I will just use a combination of rss and yt-dlp to download the videos.

I am literally, never EVER going to watch youtube with ads. The knowledge that I am ever so slightly impacting FAANG employees via their share price and so y faced """content creators""" that have ruined these platforms makes it all the more sweet.

Why doesn't youtube just bake ads into the video or just serve ads from domains they use for other content that people won't want to just block. Why this roundabout mess? If they wanted to outright kill adblocking, doesn't seem that hard.
