APC has been out for years. The board has been taken over by gays that have become even more contrarian and view fashion as binary or you’re either right or wrong, with zero grasp of the concept that different people at different points in life have different styles or tastes. If you’re on trend, you’re wrong. If you’re wearing what you like and makes you look good, you’re also wrong. Any deviation from one groups accepted niche will result in immediate assault from said group. Every single decent old gay that used to post regular fits has moved on to greener pastures and better fashion forums.
WAYWT is a graveyard that’s populated by fits that are shit by any standard, and has become tranny thunderdome. In a 300 post thread, maybe 30 posts will be regular fits, 70 will be trannies or real women that are accused of being trannies. It’s the troon version of the Salem witch trials, which just as much accuracy. The remaining 200 posts are a battleground between the tranny defense league and equally obsessed transvestigators. Most generals are dead, except for the fragrance general which is riddled with contrarians who can’t understand why out of thousands of fragrances released each year people would choose to wear something different than they are wearing. There’s also a brown spammer who keeps posting censored images of himself having sex with fat white women and saying a certain fragrance gives him the power to do so. This is not an exaggeration in the slightest.
Outside of the generals, most of the threads are stupid hecking questions that could have been answered on Google in less time that it takes to post.

Do yourself a favor, leave again.

The biggest change i noticed was nobody makes guides or moodboards anymore and naturally lookism generals have become the nuclei of this board.

    • Anonymous says:

yeah, this and picrel are pretty much all you need to see to understand the current state of /fashion/

i’ve been on here since late 2013-2014 and I’ve never posted a fit. I often imagine what I could have done with my time lurking and talking on here in real life.

    • Anonymous says:

lol i posted a fit in WAYWT and one of the trannies blew a blood vessel on me because i happened to post my fit at the same time one of the transvestigators was posting so it MUST BE THE SAME PERSON!!!
another time i clicked the thread one of the trannies was sperging out about how they wanted to be called male pronouns not female ones so i suggested they switch out their deep necked women’s blouse with a tee shirt to make their androgynous fit lean more towards masculine and the rest of that whole waywt thread was that troon raging out on me about how i’m an obvious bigot transphobe etc.
ironically i myself am trans and i happened to post some boymoding fits with the chest binder on.

      • Anonymous says:

        >MUST BE THE SAME PERSON!!!
The thing that’s makes me scratch my head the most is that the insist the transvestigator is one person. I know logic obviously isn’t a transexual strong point but there are posters calling them on their BS literally 24/7, and also posting screenshots to show they aren’t samefagging. So why do they tell themselves it’s only one person? Do they really try and delude themselves into thinking it’s literally just one poster who has a problem with their shit and everyone else is standing and clapping every time they post a shit fit?

Logically, wouldn’t admitting it’s multiple posters fit better into their world view because then they could be stunning, powerful and bold fighting against the oppression of multiple cis transphobic anons? Or is it because they are jobless, socially isolated shut ins that are online 24/7 and then assume whoever disagrees with them is also a no life loser who’s online all day? I genuinely don’t get it.

      • Anonymous says:

To be fair the “transvestigators” ruin threads just as much as actual troons. Look at this thread for example, no sign of any trannies yet here we are discussing them again because you can’t stop obsessing over then. it’s like this in almost every thread. Just ignore posts you don’t like so we don’t have to see every thread filled with paragraphs of seethe. It’s ridiculous

        • Anonymous says:

          >no sign of any trannies yet
….anon did you read the post you’re replying to? It’s an actual tranny complaining it got accused of being the transvestigator after offering a critique on a fit.

          • Anonymous says:

Nah I didn’t actually read the post I just opened this thread and saw most of the replies were paragraphs of text talking about trannies and replied to a random one lol

      • Anonymous says:

        >ironically i myself am trans and i happened to post some boymoding fits with the chest binder on.
what the heck does this shit mean? you would not cut it in the trades let me tell you that son

        • Anonymous says:

          >3 replies complaining about TDS
          >22 replies only about trans
First reply is correct, this board is cancer, legit more obsessed than the passgens on lgbt.

I’d rather shit in my hands and clap than cut it in the trades, personally.

          • Anonymous says:

Oh yeah and the skincare general is actually pretty good, I get the impression one or two anons really carry it though. I also doubt there are many zoomers on here, I’m a borderline zoomer and most people here are definitely older than me, mostly millennial on millennial violence in my onion.

Started coming back to /fashion/ myself occasionally, after getting into /fashion/ again in 2023, starting with a tailored wardrobe, watches, and frags. Any oldgay remember me?

Also, anyone still have the /fashion/ patch and t-shirt store lists that could post them?

Yeah, I remember seeing you around back in the good old days. Glad you’re doing alright.

I’ve been on this shit hole more or less consistently since 2009. Still post in waywt and grid threads from time to time but I’ve long since stopped experimenting with clothes and just settled into a comfy vibe which is basically just nicer versions of what I wore pre-fa. ie, denim, boots, and band tees. feels good man

well that’s all gone, but we have "is x /fashion/" threads now making up half the catalog. the other half is coomer bait, tranny/trannyhate bait, "are zoomers dumb" and "can you give me something that looks like [designer item] but costs less than 50 usd". everyone hecked off into discords and i hate it there. i don’t know where to go.

The board is almost 90% trannies or indians
Half the threads are something along the lines of ‘whats the name style of this style sirs’
There’s this schizophrenic npc contrarianism about synthetic materials.
We have like 4 threads every day from outsiders who just come here to say fashion doesn’t matter and you just need to work out
The only threads actually alive are the fragrance, watch and skincare generals. Everything else is dead
Waywt threads have been completely overrun by trannies, they have made it their own personal discord/hang out thread
Jannies selectively remove random racist posts but will keep literal porn on the frontpage for days

Is it just me or have trannies literally ruined everything in the past decade? Not just fashion, but tv shows, movies and video games. This was never an issue in the 2000s. What the heck happened?

      • Anonymous says:

i don’t give a shit about trannies, LULZ’s obsession with trannies has ruined LULZ though. any and every argument in any thread ends in both anons accusing each other of being trannies, "cope", "seethe" etc. derailing every single topic. at this point "anti-trannies" have become more obsessed and more annoying than the mentally ill autoerotic crossdressers themselves. just shut the heck up.

        • Anonymous says:

          >Every single decent old gay that used to post regular fits has moved on to Greener Pastures and better fashion forums.
I think any decent oldgay posters aren’t interested in fashion as a hobby any more due to lack of interest, effort, time or money. Most people who were posting on here 10-15 years ago are probably in their 30s by now and just want to wear dadcore denim and tshirts.

Biggest problem prevailing /fashion/ and LULZ in general is a lack of unique board/website culture and identity. Around 2012 everyone knew what was /fashion/, now noone does.

I check in on /fashion/ about once a week, make a few posts then leave in disgust

          >LULZ’s obsession with trannies has ruined LULZ though. any and every argument in any thread ends in both anons accusing each other of being trannies
I feel the same way and arguing on the internet as a whole has devolved into "you virgin me chad" with few, if any, people willing to put thought and effort into a discussion.

Discord is too granular, you only meet like minded people and police your community and you guys obsess about this one thing that only your in group does

I like LULZ because you hear shit from dudes that hate the hebrews, dudes that hate blacks and dudes that hate trannies as their main obsession

That’s why places like style zeitgeist and shit got into this death spiral of obsession over like carol Christian Powell or like sruli and couldn’t really recover and you’d see out of context pics and be like those guys are hecking weird

Discord will turn to the same sort of thing you guys will obsess over one style, cling to a designer that markets to you then obsess over it

And next thing you know you’ll be hunting down these discontinued lee x angliomania denim jackets on eBay and everyone outside of your weird ass discord will think you’re hecking nuts

LULZ’s strength is that noone is special and noone’s post is more or less important than another. Reddit contrasts this by randomly shadowbanning people and having arbitrary hidden karma requirements to have your post visible. Then, if your post manages to get through, the upvote/downvote system means that only the most common opinions or topics of discussion will actually receive any meaningful replies or attention, and all of the posts in there will be very safe, predictable opinions or arguments.

Discord is a terrible platform for any kind of discussion because of the chatlog nature of it; if you want to discuss a particular topic, you have to be lurking constantly until it pops up, then actively participate in the conversation. Imageboards and traditional BBS forums instead enable you to make a post then come back a week later and read the replies without having to have your finger constantly on the pulse. Not to mention the horrible circlejerks that form within discord servers.

Trannies ruin every single thing they touch. Back then it was women ruining male hobbies. Now it’s men pretending to be women who are ruining male hobbies.

The thing with trannies is that once they infect a place ,good posters and users start to leave and after a couple of months the only thing remaining of a community are trannies and their discord group. They are like a parasite that kills the host leaving nothing but a hollow husk of decaying infection

I used to hate discords too, then I got invited to one formed by people from a couple of reddit subs who got tired of the BS and just decided to do their own thing. It’s honestly pretty great, they know what the heck they’re talking about, are helpful and have contacts in different companies that actually come to the discord to get feedback on the clothing and listen to ideas for changes, and there’s none of the reddit political bullshit making everyone hold their tongue. It’s pretty great and it’s enjoyable to actually discuss fashion there instead of arguing in this hellscape or being worried that some dipshit fat communist reddit mod is going to permaban you for the horrible sin of not supporting current thing hard enough.

i came back after not posting here for 10 years and tried to start a denim general, eventually hoping to springboard it into a general japanese fashion general like we used to have.
the whole thing got inundated by poorfags so i memed wrangler jeans heavily and i somehow created this social divide on the board between anons who buy japanese denim and anons who shit on anyone who buys anything other than wrangler. that’s cool and all, we can coexist. then the general got overrun by literal pajeets spamming because of their stupid social caste system and sperging out about how users of the denim thread aren’t trying to dress like mumbai royalty at all times. it got tiresome so i stopped posting it and i mostly just come here to troll the jeets with racist posts.
