It was all a lie. Everything we’ve been told about crypto since 2016 was bullshit. There was never going to be any mass adoption or real world use cases and it was all just pump and dump schemes for people to get rich from. How could we all have been so stupid?

You weren’t here in 2016. Everyone on LULZ thought crypto was going to be the future, and it was like that for years. I still believed it until this weekend.

It is the future, but by the time your grandma uses it, it will be centralized and controlled by the same people who print your money now.

          Anonymous

That’s not the future we were sold. Why would anyone use crypto if it’s just as centralized as what we already have? It’s just a massive waste of energy for no reason without the trustless decentralized aspect to it. The fact that I could store my money on a wallet that nobody else could control or take from me felt truly magical and world changing. But it was all for nothing.

The CBDC will be centralized but use blockchain ledgers to monitor and control every single dollar spent (no more paper cash or coins). Which means (((they))) will have complete control over the money system and what things are purchased by the public and anyone who doesn't fit their agenda has their money deactivated with the flick of a switch.

I actually have sympathy for people who believed this. That's how this kind of scheme works: you convince one person with influence that something is a sure bet, and then they convince other people who consider them influential, and then they convince people who trust them, etc. Chances are you saw people you thought wouldn't make bad choices or buy into something pointless saying it was good, and you trusted them. The mechanism behind spreading it is that once someone is invested, they have probably already made wild claims and spent too much money on it. The only way to feel like less of an idiot--and to possibly make the dream a reality--is to keep it going and get more people involved.

Yeah it was absolutely the garden gnomes and not the people who have been transparently fluffing the value of this crap in media and blatantly wash trading and openly trying to get the entire tech space to pivot to it since day fucking one.

No, it's like 20 dweebs who were moderately well off before being handed too much VC money for knowing about computers, and who have been playing with theoretical billions all this time so they don't actually know what consequences for spending it badly are.

I don't think you all realize just how fucking dumb most rich people are and how their continued hold on power is mostly because it actually takes a lot of balls to have less than someone else and still believe you can get more. Most humans will just think the person with more is naturally smarter and more resourceful than them, and will try to align themselves with them instead of challenging them. Enough people do this and the social order backs them up. And the more you have, the more people just give you for free to try to stay aligned.

There's no conspiracy here; if you can talk a good game you can convince any number of people that anything they don't understand isn't bullshit, it's just proof of how smart you are. They will try to align with you by agreeing with the parts they understand. And if you get your claws in the right kind of stupid you can point them away from you before they figure out what you've done by going, "Oh no! The garden gnomes!"

Crypto coin is NOT used as a currency.
Crypto is a Ponzi scheme used to clean illegal money.

The way he markets, the way he thinks, the amount of influence he has in crypto, the fact that he’s heavily embracing regulation, he’s the absolute worst thing to ever happen to crypto.

It's funny that people are only now figuring this out. This is a textbook rugpull, but on a massive scale. Truly one for the history books.

You had prominent people in the crypto communities literally telling people "It's always the right time to buy". "Just DCA in and you'll make it." They told this to people every time BTC hit ATH. Even up to 67k. This is why retail investors shouldn't be participating in the market without an education, because if being told to buy high didn't deter you from purchasing a very volatile asset, then you deserve to lose your money.

The truth is, this has been at play since after the first BTC crash. If you weren't in the game early, you were fucked. Anyone with any sense knew this, which I'd why they're laughing from the sidelined at the 99% of people that just lost money.

Go and look at the top 20 market cap coins https://www.coingecko.com/
Now look at SHIB, DOGE meme coins created for normies and pumped by Elon, then TRX vaporware trash with USDD which is a carbon copy of USDT, then SOL which has network outrages for a decentralised Blockchain, then ADA another vaporware token promised as an ETH killer yet produced nothing of value.
As long as you have worthless coins valued highly then adoption is nowhere close.

everything other then btc and its l2 solutions are honeypots to siphon normie money and prohibit them to form the thought of getting btc. Who do you think is deploying thousands of memecoins or spending millions in marketing for sh1b or d0ge? What would happen to the btc supply if normies would just buy btc instead of these nsa - coins? You shouldnt care about eth and this shit, eth is getting wokeified as we speak. Its a good invest if you like 2000gwei TX that take long but can fail also... and frontrunned, and sandwiched.. Accumulate BTC STX Starkware link and QNT only and you might have a chance making it . FOCUS, its literally a war about driving narratives and driving the mainstream away from bitcoin as described in the MI6/NSA part found in the Snowden leaks about "Solving Cryptocurrency". Human psychology made it very high on the list of possible attack vectors...

Thanks, truly, thank you. I will suggest one thing since you have been feared out of crypto itself, buy limited assets aka things that produce something that is required by society, would suggest water but I don't see one specifically for it yet, good luck. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QxkMzn4et2U

It wasn't a lie. Bitcoin started out as a nice asset for humanity. But then came Vitalik and his Ethereum trojan horse. They created a tokenized version of Bitcoin called wrapped BTC and serves as a bridge to manipulate Bitcoin to hell and high water. Wrapped BTC allows for margin trading and exchanges are liquidating leveraged traders, as well as exchanges between themselves. Ethereum was only made with the sole purpose of manipulating Bitcoin. Then again, what do you expect from JPMorgan? They've literally taken a pristine asset and added 25 layers of gnomish magic on top of it. Defi + Bitcoin = degenerate gambling.
