It took a whole 1700 years for Christianity to suppress the religions of Europe, and yet they still survived in the folklore and the soul of the people
But it only took 60 years for Europe to secularize and unshackle from the chains of Christianity
Meanwhile modern catholicism and orthodoxy are so dipped in pagan metaphysics and saint veneration that they look nothing like their original monotheism
Might is right?

They are the original monotheistic religion. Most of the bible was written by Greco-Roman people's of European ethnicity. The pre-Christian Hebrew religion contained references to multiple deities and the religions before that had a god for every city/tribe.
>The pre-Christian Hebrew religion contained references to multiple deities
yeah but Rabbinical Judaism had already reinterpreted those passages in the Hebrew Bible to refer to angelic beings instead of gods. Yahweh and El had also long been conflated by the year 0. imo Judaism is the original monotheistic religion within the Abrahamic tradition

Half peasant european here.
You are an idiot if you think someone wearing a bear costume on Christmas, or whatever, means some pagan survival and triumph over the actual spiritual practices they do the rest of the daily lives.
Europeans largely don't do spiritual anything anymore. Christianity is dead and it's death is more complete than Polytheism's was.
>Europeans largely don't do spiritual anything anymore
If you define spirituality as whatever religiously-based habit or festival still happens, like you did(which is moronic, but have your way), we are franciscan friars compared to the pre-christian stuff that still remained.
Modern catholicism and christianity are the exact same thing. When I was growing up I went to catholic churches and baptist churches sometimes and it's the exact same thing, both wrong
anglos are not humans
the hell did he mean by that?
paganism died off a long time ago before Christianity became the official religion of the Roman Empire
