Are we ever going to get an alternative, or has nobody with a logical mind ever been interested in music? Why yes, we will have 12 notes, and we will name them absolutely retarded shit like "A flat" because we need to stick to A-G instead of just expanding it out to A-L.

the most midwit sentiment that comes up anytime people who don't know how western notation works look at it for the first time. learn what the circle of fifths/diatonic scale is, then try coming up with something that fits western music's orientation around these while improving on performance readability compared to what we have now. you can't

why. clicking out notes on midi-roll is easy enough?

the problem is not sheet music, even if you know how sheet music works there’s a lot of hiccups with the program that while minor are really annoying when you’re first picking it up

I'm too used to Musescore 3, I don't think I'll ever switch over to 4. I just hope they don't kill their support for it.

What soundfonts do you use in MS3 for brass? I think the default brass are absolutely horrible.

If you can play piano and have a midi keyboard as an input, it's maybe the most intuitive composing software possible. But even without that, it's still usable. I made this little piece using only mouse by clicking the notes into the staves.

MuseScore is easy, and easy to make plugins for as well if you can grasp QML.
