I do it because I have bright skin and dark hai so it suits me better than most clothing. I don’t think I’m a fashion expert though.

      >top image are people crying about other people wearing black, having tattoos, piercings, dyed hair, or hair that’s not bone straight

I have this theory that if you choose to wear all black it’s actually a subconscious choice and it’s because you’re most likely a super depressive pessimistic person. You drive other “colourful” people away because you don’t want to poison their minds.
I’m very self-aware of this myself. I need a nice girl to help change my ways.

I’ve been wearing all black since I was 12, I’m 35 now. I’m taciturn and have dealt with depression but I’m not at all pessimistic, the opposite in fact, and I tend to be very affable. Almost everyone I’ve ever met that dresses in all black, or who looks edgy or punk, has been extremely nice, warm, and happy people. People who get intimidated by black clothes, tattoos, and piercings are idiots.

Most people wear grey sweatpants and banana Crocs. With sports school hoodies despite being obese highschool dropouts. If I see someone pulling off tasteful clothing in all black I generally have a better opinion of them than the obese underclass crowd or the townies in blue jeans and baseball caps. That stiff is a sign of slovenliness and submission, like a beggar or a slave.

I feel the same way, but I also like that people in all black clothing is still somewhat of a rarity, I just want everyone to look their best, not matter the style or color.

You seem to be in denial. Admitting that you have a flaw is the first step to fixing it.

Who said I was perfect? And my depression has long since been dealt with. Without medication or therapy. I simply gained more control over my life as I aged. And taciturn doesn’t mean I don’t interact with people. For about three or four years in my early 20s I did add more color to my wardrobe but always felt the most comfortable and confident in just black or white. None of my girlfriends have been into the all black aesthetic though, I’m ready to settle down so the next woman I date will have to have a wardrobe to match my own.

Pnw and all around the south. There’s like 4 cities in this country that have a couple of neighborhoods of tastefully dressed people so an art school trust fund look is actually a breath of fresh air compared to what you see around you all the time.
