You can avoid them for a time. You can bind your soul to earth so you won’t go to hell until the end times. The wendigo do this, as they used to be men, but there are other ways, spiritually and physically, to not die and go to hell.
To die a true death, a fate said to be worse than hell, is oblivion. Oblivion is like deletion of your whole being. I’ve heard some angels will obliviate very evil men if they are defending a seer or a prophet from the evil man.
On top of coming directly out of wattpad you don't make any sense, how's oblivion a punishment? Not only that but oblivion shouldn't be possible to begin with from a mysticism's point of view.

Nice non-response, and yes, oblivion as you describe it doesn't make sense because the spirit can't be "erased", it would just join the main "body".
