Is there a drug you can take in social settings to make you less anxious if you have terrible social anxiety?

Is there a drug you can take in social settings to make you less anxious if you have terrible social anxiety? I've heard of some robots doing it before but now I can't remember. I wouldn't take it regularly just for certain situations I'm forced into.

    alcohol

but the real answer is exposure therapy

I've never heard of that honestly. I was thinking something I could take that wouldn't impair my cognition, etc. and which isn't illegal.

Doesn't work on its own, you need a therapist to guide you through the process

    Phenibut
Don't recommend it really, it's way more of a pain in the ass than it's worth.

They just took it down almost everywhere that used to sell it. FDA's probably going to full ban it because some retards were marketing it as a supplement, whatever the fuck that mean.

I've been looking into shit like bromazolam and phenzolam as alternatives but have no clue where you buy it.

    beta blockers
Had a roommate use them for this reason

beta blockers are probably not what most robots want

they keep you from having full blown panic attacks but they really don't make you less uncomfortable at all, they just make you feel extremely tired in higher doses

they can mitigate the physical symptoms of anxiety like teeth chattering, sweating, and a rapid heart beat, which can help a lotta robots function better in social situations

I've taken beta blockers for speeches and public engagements on a few occasions - they don't reduce the mental anxiety, only the physical symptoms. Won't help OP be any more outgoing or charismatic. You need alcohol or phenibut for that.

Alcohol and phenibut only make you think you're being charismatic... In reality you most likely look like a rambling fool to other people unless they are also intoxicated

I've never tried phenibut but I know plenty of buddies who have - my understanding is that it depends on the dose. With alcohol I totally agree with you, you have to ride the line between feeling relaxed and coming off as drunk. It's definitely possible but you won't nail it every time, and you end up well on the road to alcoholism. I'll typically have a drink at dinner/on a date and it works fine for me. If you feel you need it all the time to function socially, it's not a healthy or viable option.

Nah you're wrong, reduced anxiety can legitimately improves performance and social fluency. If you overdo it, yeah maybe you'll end up being sloppy, but silver tongue is pretty well documented effect of various drugs.

I wouldn't mix phenibut and alcohol though. Using alcohol would defeat the purpose of the phenibut imo, which is basically all the positives of alcohol with almost none of the negatives. Once you mix, you are gonna end up making yourself sloppy, visibly inebriated, possibly smell of alcohol which depending on the circumstance circumstances could cause negative impressions or ruin you. The right dose of phenibut you shouldn't need any alcohol

Anybody sober can tell an inebriated idiot, stop coping. Phenibut has been around forever, if it actually helped anyone long term it'd be well known by now. The truth is you build up a tolerance to it extremely quickly. There are no free rides, the black pill always collects

It helped me for at least 1yr while I had to work a job that required lots of socialization. I only used it for days that would be busy, which came to only a few times a month, i always waited at least 3 - 5 days at min, never used more than twice a week, took breaks. It was a completely positive impact for me. When i quit that job, i stopped using phenibut. 0 rebound anxiety, 0 negative effects, 0 cravings or desires for it once i stopped. In fact i forget it even exists until it comes up in conversation. If it made me seem sloppy or inebriated I would have been fired. When i say phenibut can be used responsibly its not conjecture. Im speaking from experience.

I used to take drugs for social situations and i wouldn't recommend it. Try everything else first.
I get that im different, and you might not be as retarded as I, but there's something about getting your "success" from drugs that makes addiction so much worse.
When i was addicted, it wasn't like "oh, i just want to feel good while I'm at school." It was a crushing argument of weighing the social benefits (visible every day) and the damage i was doing (still won't be fully present for years)

Look at your filters. We're all on LULZ, obviously there's some shit in your head that you can't just blurt out in conversation. Really evaluate the filter you use when youre around people, see all of the non-degenerate things you want to say but stop yourself from saying out of fear. Weigh that against the "real" filter that stops you from talking about how you see beheading videos when you try to sleep.

Then, destroy the first filter (the "no, i wont say that because no one cares") and spend a few days sperging about things, then pay attention if you can grasp social cues. Treat it like an assignment. Learn what people are interested in hearing, what makes them lose interest, and you'll slowly learn how to talk about your niche hobbies without boring/overloading someone.

Also just listen to people. It helped me break down that "no one cares" filter when i started going back into public. Id listen to conversations and realize that pretty much EVERYONE is talking about some shit that i would "never want to bore anyone with"

And yea, that whole "study it like a science" thing sounds like you're faking a personality, but it's more than "fake it till you make it". It's more like training. You aren't lying about who you are, you're just learning how to give better summaries. Don't be someone you aren't, it will complicate things and you'll end up competing with a more genuine version of yourself, way out of your element, instead of being genuine where you fit in

There is nothing you can do, some people are just naturally beta males and will forever stay that way. Sure, you could take benzos to remove all inhibition, but you'd still be perceived as a low testosterone beta male because that's what social anxiety comes from

This. I managed to get over anxiety, talk to girls, girls are happy to talk to me at first... and then they want to see my Instagram, they want to see your lifestyle to see if it matches your "confidence" ugh

I never sent a fake dick pic, I have always sent them my tiny pink dick and they always say it looks nice like one time I was jerking off with a girl and she begged me to send her a picture of my dick like every few minutes. Especially fags, they always say that its hot idk why its like a 4 incher on a good day

Yeah, but if you use regularly you will seriously pay for it.
    >xanax, valium, klonopin, any benzodiazepine
These are by far the most effective. But you need a prescription for these, or else you gotta find a dealer or use dnms
    >alcohol
The easiest choice. Legal, easy to obtain, works the same as benzos in that it inhibits GABA. Not as effective as benzos also inhibits motor skills, impairs judgment, and strong odor. Not actually viable because people will obviously realize you're drunk.
    >amphetamines
Despite what you might think, these tend to decrease social anxiety through an entirely different mechanism. It doesn't inhibit GABA like benzos or alcohol, but it makes you extremely confident. If you overdo it you might end up being too talkative. Hard to obtain legally
    >cocaine
Pretty much exactly same as above. Not recommended at all, seriously just stay away from this one.
    >Phenibut
Just look it up. Its legal most places which is a huge plus. It is sort of like benzos, but not quite as effective IMO. Works better for some people than others. Has a long half life, definitely only use this very infrequently, because withdrawls will be hell on earth if you overdo it. Due to its effectiveness, the ease of obtaining legally, and not impairing judgement or motor skills (unless you dose too much), this would be my recommendation for you. It's perfect for needing anxiety relief only occasionally, and its relatively cheap for an amount that should last you at least a year or more assuming you only take it 3 - 4 times a month. Highly recommend.
    >Kratom
This is another one legal most places. May or may not help with anxiety. Red strains are best for anxiety relief. You can buy this in stores. I use it every day, but you probably shouldn't. That being said I've noticed no negative side effects despite using daily for a year and using occasionally for the last 5-6yrs. Worth trying if you're open to experimenting. Won't hurt you
    >L-theanine
    Legal supplement
    (1/2)

      (2/2)

L-theanine is a legal supplement. It's the other active ingredient in tea besides caffeine. It has a superb safety profile, in fact it may be actually good for you. You can take as much as you want, it has no risk whatsoever. In my experience, this one was not so effective, but it was better than nothing. I don't think this will help much if you have intense anxiety, but it can be mildly helpful. You can also mix it with other stuff as a booster of sorts. This is at least worth trying just because theres no real downside. That being said, i did notice taking too much at once made me feel a bit spaced out. Nothing extreme, but worth mentioning.
      >Valerian root
This is the only thing on this list i have never tried. That being said, it has great reviews for anxiety online, actually many people rate it highly for anxiety. I reckon you could use this with l-theanine and get decent results. Legal and healthy. Worth looking into.

Do your own research. Don't take my word for it on anything, this isnt medical advice. Hopefully this gives you at least a place to start .

Oh yeah also, i realize I didn't say it explicitly. Assuming you do manage to get benzos, do NOT use every day. Don't even use every week. Benzo addiction will 100% ruin your life. The withdrawals can literally kill you. Having experienced them first hand i can attest, its hell, actual hell on earth. Can be useful ONLY if you use it only very, very rarely and never form a habit. Also using every day will give you rebound anxiety and make your anxiety worse as your brain adapts to GABA inhibition. Everything I said here applies to phenibut too, and alcohol as well.

At the end of the day drugs are a bandaid and will not help you progress. Best solution is exposure and meditation and regular exercise. But I do know sometimes you need results now. Drugs should always be seen as only a very short term, one off remedy, not a solution to the problem. Do not use drugs lightly. Its playing with fire.

My go to is amphetamine. Might get a runny nose but it last way longer than cokaine so you dont have to rush to the bathroom. Also dont tell anyone you are on drugs thats a huge turn off for womeb

Phenibut is the classic, I haven't had any experience but I've heard good stories from guys I know personally. Alcohol works as well but it fucks you up, phenibut mainly just gets rid of the anxiety

How has no one said benzos? They're literally become a social Chad pills, assuming you don't drink / take too many of them, then they're become a forgetful bumbling retard pills. Also horribly addictive.
