No, it's not nearly as ugly as a fox body.

This generation is so god damn ugly

I really like the front end but once you get past the doors it becomes so chunky and ugly. The rear end especially sucks, why didn't they make the taillights closer to the sides?

      No, foxbodies look good

      The S197 ISN'T ugly, YOU'RE ugly!

No. The 4.6 forever dooms them. And it won't be worth the work swapping 5.0 over just out rightbuying a 2011-2014+ to begin with. And even then lol mt82 issues

What work? It literally bolts up to the same mounts and the same transmissions. Even the computer isn't that much effort.

Is it any different from the wheezy 5.0 non-HOs that made a whole 140-170hp for the first half of the Fox body's life? They didn't make any actual performance until 1985

  7. 2 weeks ago

nah, that would be the SN95/new edge. even then, the 2v and 3v were a mistake and a coyote swap is expensive while simultaneously being less valuable than a cobra

i had a built 3v and i LOVE this image

Funny, but we have na 2vs with the stock heads pushing 380 wheel nowadays. In a fox a naturally aspirated 2v with stock heads went 10.01 @ 130mph (look up mark anderson it’s a green fox)

        Anonymous

I honestly don't believe it's stock heads on that thing. you aren't getting an extra 120-150hp without touching the top end, sounds like it's winding up to 10k, too.

NMRA factory stock rules mean you have to use the stock heads. The power was achieved by spinning to 8200 rpm, likely with cams to match and notched pistons. Cry about it and pretend it doesn’t exist, whatever you have to do to sleep at night.

stock heads ported to an inch of their life with domed pistons and 14:1 cr, maybe. even NA 2vs with trick heads don't hit 380 at the wheel. I don't believe for a second that they're sealed stock

              Anonymous

It might have the jesel cam followers which claim to free up 50hp.

nah I'm still calling bullshit when the stock coyote class making 460ish at the wheel can only do mid to high 9s. you're a retard if you think a stock top end 2v can get anywhere close to 400

                Anonymous

adding to this, the people who build legit NA 2vs that DO wind up to 9-10k aren't even hitting 400 at the wheel. and this guy with a truck 2v is somehow right there on stock heads? no way jose

I think it is 380 crank, because in the video it just says 380 HP. I doubt it has stock valves, stock seal, stock springs, etc.

                Anonymous

I don't think you understand. That car won the NMRA factory stock qualifier round which had built coyotes and 4vs. 2v supremacy is real

                Anonymous

the coyote class was sealed stock, you could only have a cold air intake lol.

nothing about the heads was stock. again, people spent thousands on trick flow heads and cams and p&p winding it out to almost 10k only to top out at like 375 @ the crank. there is no possible way a stock f150 2v top end would get anywhere near 350hp

                Anonymous

Without doing absolutely any of my own googling, I'm going to assume that in this case "stock heads" just means stock castings. No fully aftermarket heads or head swaps, but port, polish, and modify to your heart's content.

                Anonymous

still doesn't make sense that a car down 100hp to the coyotes was running similar times. unless the car had a full fiberglass/carbon body or some shit it just doesn't make sense. go look at any videos of people with a full spec sheet in their near 400hp NA 2vs and they all have extensive head work done.

Bullshit, we don't have them. They can be imported with a kit for $40k+. That's not "one of them", that's "a converted one of them".
I'm not paying $40k+ for a kit car experience in a fucking mustang. I own a VE SS.

350z. it has a six speed and IRS and while it has a v6, it has a great aftermarket

the only reason the s197 is cheap is because everyone knows it's a shit platform to start with
