Thanks. I'll stick with my ThinkPad E14 Gen 4.
Nice to see it comes with Linux preinstalled though.

Nice Ideapad bro, a ThinkPad is much better though.

Not him, but's not 2013 anymore.
New E-series ThinkPads are great and not much different than the T-series except the build quality, but even that has got better and you can get a full-aluminum E14.

Not really, they're slightly above Ideapads and have a TrackPoint, that's about it. Designed by totally different teams from the others.

A fucking current gen HP Pavilion has a foil-tier layer over the palmrest. This EliteBook has a thicker layer. A Macbook is entirely aluminum. It's a shit material, T series does it right and they're all plastic outside.

The difference between an IdeaPad and an E14 ThinkPad is way bigger than the difference between an E14 and a T14.

How do you scroll using the TrackPoint without a middle button?

      Hell yeah!

How do you scroll using the TrackPoint without a middle button?

Use a proper OS that allows you to configure both being pressed to act as a middle click.
The buttons feel like my T450s and I hear new thinkpads have shit buttons. Trackpoint itself feels better too and lenovo has been slimming theirs down for years. Feels like they're trying to make it especially useless so they can justify removing it.

      >HP
      no

      Get a M1 Macbook Air

      >M1 Macbook Air
Literally mogged by the HP in everything except battery life. New M2 Air is more expensive than an 865 G9 that matches it in battery life lmao.

It's a rebranded elitebook, but it's kinde nice and has removable memory which in 2023 makes it good by default .
