Yes. It’s not for the faint of heart. Prepare for everyone to purposefully avoid you. You can make an ASS TON of money but it will take time. You will need real persistence and fortitude in the face of constant rejection. If you can last ten years doing it while working your ass off and pay yikes bills in the meantime, you can enjoy another 20-30 years of passive income, ten hour workweeks and hundreds of thousands of dollars per year. You will be broke the first ten years. If you survive it’s incredibly lucrative. I personally didn’t make it. I know people who did and they make serious shekels and don’t work hard at all. Some of them even have 5-10k per month in passive income even without doing any work.

right the question I have with it is I would would be basically signing people up to just lose money every month, for my and my bosses' benefit. So its kindof like showing up and taxing someone except I'm not the government and I have no idea what actual good it will do for the people who sign up for it.
You cannot get a contractors license without insurance, cannot hire workers without insurance, cannot drive a car without insurance, or have a mortgage without insurance. The law mandates you customers, and since everyone needs it the people who know you should get it from you.

I live in a shitty little home that I own outright and I still have insurance on it. If it burns the fuck down or something at least I can throw a mobile home on it and replace my small arsenal. It took 24 years of work and if something did happen I'd rather have to pay that insurance premium every month instead of starting over from scratch. Though, because of the combination of my house being meh and being literally across the road from a farm bureau office my insurance premium is like 40 bucks a month so fuck it.

Do people need life insurance? Maybe, it depends, but often times these people sell whatever has the highest commissions and say fuck you to the customer.
They might even call themselves a “financial advisor”, which is a far cry from an actual financial advisor. If they do this they sell shitty annuities with high fees and fuck over the customer yet again.
The job is literally about financially taking advantage of middle class Americans who don’t know any better. Oh and also your family members too. I don’t harbor that much respect for people who do this for a living.

Never had insurance besides auto, and have saved thousands. Tree fell on car got a couple grand out of the deal (not totaled, minor exterior damage)
Very healthy, so never had to go to doctor/er/dentist. Optometrist visit is cheap, just take script and get glasses/contacts elsewhere. If you are single fuck insurance, I could understand if you have a family.

I was in Insurance claims but not in sales. From what I know of sales it's hard to meet your quota every month - they basically expect you to contact every friend and family member you had and get them to sign up. A lot of people don't make it more than 3 months depending on the office.
That being said it gets easier every year because your clients stay on and just keep paying you commissions without any work.
Around here it's 12.5% premium on auto insurance and anywhere from 20 to 30% for everything else. That is split 50/50 between the house and the broker.
My experience has been that brokers are complete and total retards who know nothing about the product they sell.

Do such things exist? I've never had a good job really. You practically have to suck them off during each of 4 interviews. The job isn't offered it's orgasmed. After 10 rounds of that someone will hand you some paperwork to fill out. Offering a job assumes someone might refuse. Can't imagine.
