is pioglitazone worth it?

title. anons who have tried it, thoughts? basically I'm 1 year on E with good levels but disappointing levels of fat redistro and my doctor is willing to prescribe it to me as an experiment to see if it would work as desired. they mentioned it would be at my own risk. should I go through with it?

It does have some effects regarding weight gain and fat accumulation. My brain fog is too bad to summarize rn but here's the articles I was reading:
            https://www.mdpi.com/1422-0067/22/10/5226

I started a week ago. First week I used 15mg is a trial run now I'm doing 30mg.
I'm optimistic, I've always been a lanklet and I've weighed about the same for 5 years so I'm hoping this works.
I'm eating a lot of fish, nuts, and meaty fatty stuff. And I do a lot of exercises to get my growth hormone levels up. Not sure how effective any of this is but I have ebough Pio for 150 days at 30mg so lets see how it goes.
Once thing I noticed, I feel more comfortable eating a lot, I've always been cautious about gaining weight cause I didnt want it to go to my gut. But with E + Pio I feel confident that my fat distribution will be optimal. Its just a placebo effect but it feels good and has lowered my anxiety

started a week ago myself and noticed the same effects when it comes to being less anxious while eating
feels really good knowing any fat i gain has and will continue to go to my hips and ass, my face even looks better from constantly eating vs fasting all day lmao

it took an inch from my waist and put 2 on my hips, would recommend. you'll prolly gain some weight on it due to the fact that it basically makes new fat cells, just try to keep up on cardio and you'll be fine

I took pío for about one month, and it give a huge ugly erythema on my hand.
I literally cut any suspicious food from my diet, but unfortunately it started to go away only after I stopped the pio.
I took 30mg daily, will definitely try again few months ago once I get rid of this ugly erythema:(

I started pio ~2 months ago. I'm at 22.5mg/day because my body couldn't handle 30mg. I also work out.
I'm 186cm/6'1, I started at 83kg. The initial stats are on a different page, but picrel is me measuring and weighing myself every 4 weeks. During the first 4 weeks I lost 2cm in my waist despite gaining 4kg. I guess that was visceral fat loss.
The 1cm gains in my shoulders (S) and upper chest (CU) are due to minor back gains, but the width of my shoulders is still the same.
Why pio? Because naturally I gain a lot of visceral fat, so when I try to get fatter I feel super bloated and heavy. This time around I gained subcutaneous fat on my lower tummy and my legs, unfortunately, I store most of my fat on my inner thighs, smdh, I really REALLY want some outer thigh fat 🙁
Ah, and now I can also answer the most important question which I couldn't answer 4 weeks ago:
    >"Does pio hurt booba growth?"
It doesn't, my booba got bigger. I don't think it's due to pio, I think it's due to me switching back to pills, but at the very least pio didn't stunt booba growth.

how long on e were you when you started pio?

that all sounds pretty promising because it's mostly the visceral fat I want to focus on

        ~2.5 years.

interesting it had an effect so quickly
what do you mean by you couldn't handle it at 30mg? were there bad side effects?

        >interesting it had an effect so quickly
I'm a former gymrat, I'm pretty good at dieting and working out. Atm I'm basically dirty bulking, but I still do some intermittent fasting in the first half of day. I just use pio to force lower body fat distribution with little to no visceral fat gains and even visceral fat loss, it's a crutch. So far so good, a lot better than any of my previous fat gain attempts.
        >what do you mean by you couldn't handle it at 30mg? were there bad side effects?
A week after I switched to 30mg my lower legs and feet started to swell a lot. One day it got so bad that even got bruises on my feet. I had to stop pio for a couple of days, then I switched to 15mg, then a week later I switdhed to 22.5, no negatives anymore. I'll be staying on this dose from now on. My plan is to be on pio for 4 more months.
I strongly recommend working out or at least doing cardio if you're on pio because it helps to pump lymph around which can prevent edemas/swelling.

yeah I've heard you need to start on a lower dose and go up, I was just curious about what happened

I do some light cardio so I guess I'll try make it a bit more intense
do I need to weight cycle or is that not necessary?
congrats on the changes so far btw!

            >yeah I've heard you need to start on a lower dose and go up, I was just curious about what happened
Yeah, I started at 7.5mg, then every week I was increasing it by 7.5mg. if you experience side effects, you just take a break for a couple of days and then try again with the previous dose that worked. But you should be somewhere in between 15 and 30mg.
            >I do some light cardio so I guess I'll try make it a bit more intense
You should be fine. The thing is, sitting for a long time can be pretty uncomfortable if you're on pio, like, you'll have some minor swelling and heaviness in your feet, you don't need to drop your dose if that happens, but it's a sign that you should start walking more, haha.
            >do I need to weight cycle or is that not necessary?
Unnecessary. Intermittent fasting is just a good thing to do. But in the second half of the day I eat a lot, I also started eating more carbs, before I started pio I was on high fat low carb diet which is how I normally eat. I still try to eat more or less healthy, like, I don't eat chips and shit like that, but I do enjoy some cupcakes, brownies, etc :>
            And thanks <3
