Yeah, this. Good at basically everything but gaming and maybe video editing. I tried to convert my main rig to full time linux, and its just way too much of a pain in the ass still.
Don't get me wrong, a lot of games work, but those that don't.......lmao good luck.
>Gaming is still shit if its not running native
I'd say it's inconsistent. I play a lot of Deep Rock Galactic and I'd say it's about the same. Some big games like Elden Ring and even Starfield reportedly run better. But yesterday I bought Warhammer 40k Boltgun and it started stuttering like shit a few levels in.
I use it and am comfortable in it. I play games too, on Steam and Epic Games through Heroic.
I don't miss Windows.
Things are very different from Windows, so don't expect it to be as easy and as intuitive as a beginner
Nah. GNOME devs actively sabotage it so it will never be good. Some retarded fucks will try to sell you that a desktop will no fractional scaling support and not even quarter window tiling is a good thing.
Do yourself a favor and never fall for the "Desktop Loonix" meme.
Yes, I've been only using Linux as my everything OS for 8 years already, when it was still an utter shit to use.
Nowadays it's basically the comfiest shit to use because it runs fast, it's stable if you use an actual stable distro and can run anything I'd want to use, aka. games of video and all the developer tools for myself and my job.
lunis is a colonial
Only for pure browsing, AI stuff and programming. Gaming is still shit if its not running native.

Don't listen to retards ITT linux has great distros if you want a casual desktop OS. Pick something like Mint or Nobara and you are good to go.
