Leaving America is always going to massively reduce your purchasing power if you've got any sort of advanced and marketable skill, but you could certainly just try to get a work visa with that skill, as they obviously do have an aircraft industry that is only going to become more important as they can't rely on European and American parts

This is overhyped, if you are american you can work at macdonalds and buy that very same land, Russian land outside of desirable area (city proximity, southern Russian weather etc) is insanely cheap, very often less than a thousand dollars per hectare (2.5 freedom acres) even with the recent ruble appreciation, it's a cool initiative, but for someone with american work rights the time spent on paperwork would be better spent saving up to buy it outright
