I think you shouldn’t because if your pants fit right and your sweater is made of good material than it should not be possible for you to tuck in your sweater

if you can, then you’re shamelessly displaying that your clothes don’t fit right

i think it works when you’re wearing a jumper without a shirt underneath. it helps if the knit is decorative like a cableknit or a rollneck

I really only see it in ads. Because for some reason, these brands all make their sweaters much too long, so they have to tuck it in for their models to have good proportions and show the waistline of the pants and belt they may be advertising. You shouldnt need to tuck in your sweater. This is why i prefer buying vintage sweaters that were designed for higher waisted pants.

no. it’s not ok. it looks bad.
and people who do this are usually odd.
go strike up a conversation next time you encounter someone with a sweater tucked into their pants.
if you don’t find them odd then you are most likely a fairly odd person yourself.
you can argue all you want, but you’ll never change my mind

I sometimes tuck them, it feels weird but it looks good sometimes. My sweaters are thin merino ones and not chunky cable knits, I think tucking the latter would be too weird. I’m more likely to tuck them if I’m wearing a jacket on top.

Nope, instead I scour the internet for really short vintage ones because the ones today are about as long as a suit jacket. I absolutely can’t stand tucking in a sweater, there’s something about it that’s so uncomfortable, it untucks somewhat easily, feels uncomfortable on my waist, poofs out and not in a good way like an OCBD. Absolutely hate it.

i agree with this and comfort should be your main priority with clothing, but do what you want.
sweaters will always look bad tucked in.

      >I DONT LIKE THEM BECAUSE THERE DIFFERENT
with how many people who dont like you by that logic you should have a nice day

keep tucking your sweaters in. it’s like a caution sign that says ‘hey i’m someone you should avoid’

I always thought it was a nice look, as long as your pants aren’t too tight. I just watched that show The North Water and all the sailors wear their sweaters tucked in with suspenders, it’s got a certain classic look to it
