Is it actually common for trans women to have difficulty fitting women's apparel sizes? Or is that just a meme?

there are 6' obese women, and they fit in women's clothes
you'd have to be pretty fricking big to not fit in large or xl sizes

Its more about the proportions, but yeah there are clothes made for every size, its just about the amount of them.

If you're average guy sized or larger it's hard to find stuff. I'm lucky enough that I'm at the top of normal woman ranges ut if you have size 15 women's feet then yeah you're going to have trouble. Oh and it's always length thats the issue. Finding stuff wide enough is easy and usually it's too wide if anything.

biggest issue i've seen is that trannies overestimate what size they need and wind up with a lot of ill fitting clothing

I'm 6'1 and I live in a country where the average MALE height is 5'7, I'm a foot taller than the average female height here. I literally can't buy ANY women's clothes, moreover, even buying men's clothes is problematic at times, my sizes, XL and 2XL (not XXL, these are different sizes), often are online only exclusive in local retail shops, like, it's a pretty common experience when it comes to, let's say, uniqlo here.

larger sizes of pants you'll start to notice the difference drastically because they taper at the waist (just below belly button). so if you have dummy thick thighs and you size up you'll find the wais is too loose.

for things like shirts or dresses: you find you have to size up because of shoulders / ribcage, but if you don't have bolt ons you don't fill it out adequately.
one pieces or dresses can also be tough to navigate. they might be too tight up top if you get the smaller size, but too big everywhere else if you get the larger size.
it has to do with the frame the clothes are designed for.

Idk maybe? Personally even L and XL stuff feels super tight on me. Like it feels fine but then once it reaches my shoulders it feels way too tight. Pretty much everything I've bought has been like this so I've just gone back to men's clothing 🙁

L or XL fits me. Sometimes the XL isn't as form-fitting as the large, but sleeve length and overall length can sometimes bee too short in a large. The overall length is the biggest issue I have.

I fit into women's cloths pretty well actually, better than men's clothes in fact. shoes especially fit so much better.

i have trouble finding things that fit me but only because my waist is 24”
so many dresses are loose in the back and end up making me look like a potbelly because they don’t hug my waist
it’s awful but when dresses fit, they FIT

I usually can wear M or S in terms of volume which is pretty average where I live but I have to make sure that the clothes are long enough as L and up doesn't really get longer and only wider for both men and women

So stuff like skirts are usually a bit shorter than intended
