Is breakcore simply just jungle ?

I hear this argument to me breakcore feels dirtier & more disjointed compared to 90s dnb anyone share some insight ?

    >I hear this argument
from clueless zoomers, who listen to sewerslut and unbelievably shitty youtube ""breakcore""mixes, that consist mostly tacky liquid dnb put together in 5 minutes in FL studio.

Breakcore is usually faster, far more chaotic, abrasive, and it's 100% amen break worship. Typically it has "fuck you" attitude, compared to more dancefloor oriented jungle, and most traces or reggae/ragga are gone

    some obvious examples

    core

    jungle

Could you make the comparison to old school German techno to today off beat take on it ?

        sorry, techno's not my scene

I have enjoyed 90s dnb with eurodance bunch of Anthony Fantano’s here whenever someone asks a question

don't ask questions, if you don't want answers

        >Is breakcore simply just jungle
        basically
breakcore and jungle both diverged from dnb although breakcore is newer and influenced by jungle (dnb itself was influenced by jungle in a sort of feedback loop) they both share the same roots
side note; a bunch of stupid retards on this website will act like black metal fags and get all tribal about it, they're basically just the same thing and all are derived from the same sort of music

        calm your tits lmao
im not elitist in any way. i love dnb and jungle and breakcore, but it's important to make distinctions so we can have a fucking discussion
(anime playlist dnb ""core"" is still grabage tho)

        Not him. Don't forget raggacore

        oh yeah

i'm perfectly calm, just hard to talk about breakcore without it turning into an autistfest

          >breakcore and jungle both diverged from dnb although breakcore is newer and influenced by jungle (dnb itself was influenced by jungle in a sort of feedback loop) they both share the same roots
Breakcore is in no way new (the genre had his peak during early 2000's). newer than jungle and DnB but noticing how far Breakcore has removed himself from the classic DnB sound it has no point comparing those genres to each other. The only thing that Breakcore shares with drum and bass and jungle is the use of breaks, the speed of the genre is a lot more intense, the focus is not only on the breaks but on the distorded kicks (gabber/hardcore techno influence), sample mangling and at various times it borders noise. There's other subgenres like Raggacore or Flashcore, but i'm not gonna talk about that. Fucking tourist making write long ass posts explaining genres.

            >stating a fact
a misleading one you lard ass, breakcore doesn't have that much in common with jungle or dnb. your answer is what makes this tranny atmospheric dnb cunts calling their music "breakcore" without sounding anything like the genre.

idk what do you expect, then. op asked
            >Is breakcore just jungle?
and I answered that no, and elaborated, giving the most rudimentary outline of said genres. if that's too tribal or sperg, im afraid that board might not be for you.

Yes, picking apart genres is autistic as fuck, but thats kinda all that we do here. And it's not like we're having shitstorm over some ultra niche sub styles here, both jungle and dnb are HUGE and very distinct parts of MASSIVE breakz- scene, so putting them in the same bag and confusing them is pretty embarassing lol

that's the most straight forward jungle record Snares has made, Koonut Kalifee is even in 4/4
you want early Snares if you want to distinctly contrast breakcore and jungle, like Shitfuckers and 7 Sevens

To be honest Flashcore is kind of a stupid genre considering that most of it is Drill N' Bass and IDM. When done right it sounds like spastic textural Gabber with glitchy microediting

    Everyone ITT: Mongoloids
    Me: amen BREAK hardCORE
What defines it is 200 plus bpm, alternating between some form of breaks and a large distorted bass kick in a 4 on the floor. All other opinions discarded. Zoomers are massive homosexuals and are ruining any sense of a music scene.
