That’s a good amount. My reading has plummeted these last few years. I feel like I’ve lost a lot of the confidence and vigor I’ve had for reading at precisely the time I aspired to write the most.
That's my goal every year and I usually end up reading about a dozen more. Super comfy pace.
I'm at 82 for 2023. No comic books or audiobooks, but I'm counting around 5 or so short stories.
The number of books is not important.
You could read the entire collection of Star Wars novels and come away from that as nothing more than a Star Wars nerd, filled with useless lore about a fictional world.
If however you instead spent that time studying the histories and philosophies of the world you would have given yourself a truly worthwhile education.
And furthermore no book is the same. Voltaire's Candide is about the same length as Spinoza's Ethics but where one can be read in a single sitting, the other can take several months.
And lastly, The Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire by Gibbon is one book and The Hound of the Baskervilles by Arthur Conan Doyle is also one book but these are both obviously complete opposites in terms of size.
I've read 92 books this year. Obviously subjective, but I don't think it's a big deal. Life gets in the way sometimes. It's not a competition. As long as you are reading, go for it

>read 1 hour a day at 1 page per minute >60 pages a day
Obviously if you're reading someone like Faulkner it'll be more like 30 pages in an hour but 1 book a week is very doable.
Wait, I'm not? Yeah 52 books is plenty. My goal for this year is 36. Some years I've read over a hundred books but I've got considerably less spare time now.
I was aiming for about fifty books initally, but about a month ago I realized I'd only read like 25. Thus I decided to settle for a goal of 36 books that I'll reach if I can keep my pace of finishing approximately one book a week. (I'm at 28 books now, so I'm on schedule!)
Just three or four hours ago when I tried to post it said I'm banned and now I'm suddenly unbanned. I can't remember saying anything inflammatory so I guess it was mishap or something... I use vpn sometimes, might be related to that
I read 0 books so far this year. I come to this board to pretend I read. I download books I like but then I never actually get to read them.
Do Garfield comics count?
Butterfly are you still here :3

Manga doesn't count. Nor picture books either. Or abridged audiobooks that condenses 18 hours of a book into 2.

The metric of "books/year" is utterly pointless
Anon how do you feel about this exquisite bait
if it was serious?
It's not bait, Starwarschad has been here for years
It's not bait. I've read and reviewed everything pictured
Based, thank you
>it was supposed to be my moment

neeeerd
How many of them would you say were good?
>a book a week
Impossible to do this unless you are a neet or you read a bunch of short stories and count them as a whole book
If you don't drive, it is possible.
I've about 2 spare hours a day and 6-8hrs on Fridays and Saturdays to read; it's feasible but there shouldn't be much else going on in your life

What made you choose that particular number?
Also why did you get banned?

What books does Miku read?
Beastiality hentai
Depends on factors such as page number, font size, spacing, pictures, reading difficulty, informational density...
Let's say ebooks which don't have page numbers and font and spacing are adjustable.
