let me guess. poltard who came here in 2016 and has a crew cut, grey shirt on and white skin. We make all these bizarre rules for ourselves and others that are based on insecurity. People should be more free thinking.
I was in the pit at one of their shows this tour and it was unhinged madness. the singer is the one who needs the presence so if you can make killer riffs the music will carry itself
Jello Biafra still lives in San Francisco. His net worth is likely in the hundreds of millions to afford his place on Haight-Ashbury, but that's not a problem for him, due to his exceptional trust fund band.
>trust fund >Eric Reed Boucher was born in Boulder, Colorado, the son of Virginia (née Parker), a librarian, and Stanley Wayne Boucher, a psychiatric social worker and poet.[5][6]
my mom was a social worker, and was maybe maxing out at 100k/yr. that's not trust fund money.
that haight ashbury house is maybe worth 1.2 million max (according to zillow estimates of similar sized houses in the area)
i dont think you understand how money works. i dont think you understand how "poor" even some of the most successful musicians ultimately are (when compared to actual wealthy people in this country). i think you need to fix your autism.
I’ve been playing jazz/classical guitar for decades now. At 29 I got burnt out and overwhelmed from life, job, marriage, future, the reality of my encroaching death, and I needed some sort of outlet for my emotions so I started a “hardcore” “punk” “rock” whatever you want to call it type of band, and it’s been very cathartic
Never too old dude. Have a blast doing what you love and fuck the rest. You can even eventually host the house shows for the youth. Shit would be amazing. Pic unrelated
>baseless ad hominem
Didn't see that one coming! And now I lean back in my chair and wait for your next move. I could not POSSIBLY predict what it will be...
>thats the guy who played guitar on the Blue Mask
Lou Reed was unabashed in his love for Quine's playing. Quine was a diehard VU bootlegger back in the day too.
>Is 26 too old to join a hardcore punk band?
I mean ... no. But why would even want to?
I love hardcore punk but, c'mon, it just a musical ghetto and stylistic dead end.
Unless you're interested in pushing the genre forward like Atari Teenage Riot or The Locust, I just don't see the point in reheating the same old 4 chord metalcore riffs and serving up the same old slop for the same old big, dumb masses in the year 2000 + 20 + 3.
Sounds retarded to me.
I work at wendy's so anything is worth a shot
I wish I still sold Etizolam as Xanax to retard zoomers
If your first plan to escape waging at Wendy's is to join a local punk band, I suggest you see a career counselor at your local community college
Rather blow my brains out. Musician or nothing. I'm just different and have different values in life
We're in the same boat. Are you in texas
Not that anon but I'm in dallas texas right now visiting my gfs grandparents
>in texas
no but southern.
id move to you but i cant play an instrument
Qualified for punk
Wendy's was a chill job on grill
You are a zoomer dude you were born in 1997
I am, but I'm on the older side and they're entertaining to shit on
bill's thinking "why the fuck is this guy taking my picture?"
I don't know why but anytime I see a photo of Bill burr I can't stop laughing at it. Easily the funniest guy alive
Nah, if these two can do it...
punk is for kids who want to rebel against the system. If you're 26 and still have that attitude then you've got bigger problems to worry about.
Sorry for not being up to your standards
Don't apologise, just be better
Nah I'm good
It makes me feel free, homo
most people are thinking that, and most people are retards, together with you. so why even care?
>punk is whatever my ignoramus, small minded, cop-mentality ass says it is and can't be anything else once you've reached an arbitrary number of rotations around the sun because ... JUST BECAUSE OKAY!
yeah dude, the system is great. im so glad i'll never be able to afford a house. its awesome!
let me guess. poltard who came here in 2016 and has a crew cut, grey shirt on and white skin. We make all these bizarre rules for ourselves and others that are based on insecurity. People should be more free thinking.
I mean any pol tard is going to be against the nagger loving system we have now so your assessment is pretty off.
Yes
Join? No. Start? Yes.
the best punk you can see today is from dinosaurs
I was in the pit at one of their shows this tour and it was unhinged madness. the singer is the one who needs the presence so if you can make killer riffs the music will carry itself

nobody will give a shit
what was he thinking marrying this african gum shark
>I can't be racist, my wife is black!
There are punk musicians pushing 60 who still sing about being a teenager so why not.
What does this even mean? Like, Jello has a modest house and a car after charting repeatedly? That's pretty punk rock

this is like the worst defense i have ever heard and im not even the shitposter
i would say 15 is too old to even listen to hardcore punk
So true. Punk's always been about following the rules.
Asking what people think isn't very punk.

Greg sage was 60 when he formed the wipers
He's always been an old soul, it's true.
not at all that was about the age i got serious with it and started touring.
Robert Quine was a bald lawyer who was convinced by Richard Hell to join his band and play guitar, despite being in his mid 30s.
One of the first real punk bands, before Sex Pistols who actually copied their style.
Here's Quine playing the guitar in one of their best songs.
Holy shit, thats the guy who played guitar on the Blue Mask
>thats the guy who played guitar on the Blue Mask
Lou Reed was unabashed in his love for Quine's playing. Quine was a diehard VU bootlegger back in the day too.
I heard when they did Legendary Hearts Reed mixed most of his playing off the record and Quine burned the tapes in his driveway or some shit lol
That's a classic Lou Reed move if there ever was one.
Dude seems like an unbearable narcissist. John Cale had to put up with a lot of shit.
so life isnt over??
Why did Hell sing like such a retard
Why, no.
No, it's not.

Obviously I'd rather do something interesting or different. Or something more similar to late 70s / early 80s hardcore than modern
You're missing the point of punk if you're concerned about following rules. Do whatever the hell you want.
One of the best and most respect punk albums of all times was made by a israeli lady in her 40s, so no.
