An Anglo is an Anglo is an Anglo. Americans are the only people who assert any serious distinction between themselves and the rest of the Anglo Saxon diaspora. Thousands of years from now people will think of the British and American empires in the same way the average person thinks of Republican and Imperial Rome today.

They literally aren't. They're 60% descended from EEF. A further 10-15% of their DNA is from Western Hunter-Gatherers and the remaining 30% is from different types of Steppe peoples (some of them Celtic-speaking, some of them Germanic-speaking, some of them Italic-speaking).

They did were, it was an ethnic group that went from Ireland to Turkey (galatians).

              >They literally aren't
They are. Putting a crowd of prehistoric groups that didn't existed anymore by Iron Age isn't an argument.
Romans and Moors influenced the genes of Iberians, that genetically used to be like Basques.

Sardinians are the last "EEFs" just genetically, they were assimilated by Romans into Latin culture, they lost their bound with Nuragic culture long ago and genetically they are very distant from the rest of mediterranean countries, there has been a lot of mix from bronze age to our days.

Continuing this. Irish/Welsh/Scots all speak Germanic languages today and genetically cluster most closely (BY FAR) with other Germanic peoples of Europe, particularly the English, Dutch, Scandinavians and northwestern Germans.
Yes. They genetically overlap and overcluster with those of the Proto-Germanic fucking HOMELANDS.
There is absolutely no argument to be had here. If you speak a Germanic language descended from Proto-Germanic and cluster tightly within a Germanic genetic cluster, you are Germanic.
There is no discussion to be had. On a language level and on a genetic level the people of the British Isles are Germanic.

All your table shows is that the 'Insular Celts' were not 'genetically Celtic' in the first place since even populations majority descended from them still overlap and overcluster genetically with Germanic peoples.

                >they are not germanic, idiot, they are bell beakers,
Bell Beakers were an archaeological culture with little genetic similarity. The British Bell Beakers had Steppe admixture on par with Proto-Germanic peoples, hence why they overlap and overcluster with them. The Bell Beakers in places like Iberia originally had NO Steppe admixture and later received SOME Steppe admixture, but only around half of the levels found in British Bell Beakers and Germanic peoples.

They are Germanic people. They speak a Germanic language and cluster most closely and extremely tightly with other Germanic peoples.

In Ireland there are fewer Irish speakers than there are Japanese speakers, despite the best efforts of the government to resurrect the language from its deathbed. There are still large chunks of North Wales where Welsh is the first language, every Welsh school child is expected to learn at least a little of the language, and every government post requires fluency in Welsh. In Scotland you see it on signs under the English every now and then, and I'm told there are some places up in the far north of the country and the islands where it's still widely spoken (cannot confirm though).

They're all doing better than Cornish though (the one Celtic country everyone forgets about, including the Cornish themselves most of the time), which is a completely dead language - as in the only people who speak it now speak it as a hobby (like Klingon speakers) rather than as a language.

Gaelic is a completely dead language in the vast majority of Scotland. Besides historically (before the Germanic colonizations) most of Scotland didn't even speak that Celtic language, but rather Pictish and Welsh (probably sister languages anyway).
So why they sometimes put some silly Gaylick signs up I'll never know, if anything they should be putting Welsh signs everywhere.

Yep. And then you'd explain to them that 'Saxon' is actually what Gaels called Lowlanders and that the Gaelic term for the Lowlands literally translates as 'The Place of the Foreigner' and they would probably have an aneurysm.
Also they called Lowlanders 'goill' which means 'stranger/foreigner/alien/outlander'. That's the exact same term they used for other English, Norsemen, Normans and other foreigners.
Also Lowlanders called themselves and their tongue 'Saxon' for centuries, as did foreign visitors.
'The Lands of the English in the Kingdom of the Scots' was another term used by contemporary chroniclers for the Lowlands.

The Lowlands are not Scottish. The Lowlands are not Celtic. And even the Highlands have significant Pictish, Norse, Norman, Anglo-Saxon and Lowlander admixture.

Your graph shows there has been significant genetic change in the vast majority of Spain since Roman times. So in addition to only partially being descended from the Proto-Celtic invaders of the Iron Age and their rapebabies and EEF slaves, you have experienced substantial genetic influx during the Roman era.
Ergo, Spain is not Celtic, merely partially (and very partially) descended from Proto-Celtic peoples.

No. They objectively did not. They considered themselves as a bunch of distinct tribal peoples who merely happened to speak similar languages.
In the same way the world groups English-speaking peoples as a single bloc but they all consider themselves very distinct.

It's not really when you use a Swadesh List, when you do that English is around 70/30 Germanic/Latin.
Swadesh Lists are the more general way of measuring a language's vocabulary. Very few people compare dictionary entries.
Other Germanic languages are full of Latin loanwords for taxonomic and scientific and specialized areas too.
Just look at the German Wikipedia main page. It's full of Latin loanwords just in the opening 1000 words.
