Middens are very important for archeological study. And basically every part of the world with population density has one or two mountains of random waste. There's some hioll in rome composed entirely out of broken vase shards.
Even I stumblu upon some modern thrash middens in my third world existance sometimes.

Bruh you clearly dont know anything about anything. Finding a fricking a pit people shat in is incredibly important since we can more accurately determine their diet. You're a complete psued.

It is unironically if you are trying to find out what a people without writting ate, made, etc.
We've unironically determined wetehr some cultures practiced cannibalism by seeing if some human bones had pot polish and the like. It's honestly quite fascinating how much info is packed into random bullshit.
However it doe s make archeologists look deranged if you spelt it out all at once.

If it was a garbage mound we would be able to see it was made out of a variety of discarded objects, food, and general waste
