I'm so unbelievably extremely justed and demoralized

I can't even begin to describe how massive of a mistake I made by getting into crypto to begin with.

At this point, I'm starting to not care if we have another bullrun anymore. I mean, how much money will you really even make anyways with this much VC and institutional money already in the market? It's the law of diminishing returns, you'll never see 5000x returns again unless you have legendary timing on a scamcoin.

This space just isn't worth the stress anymore.

It's sort of like the whole tech sales fad that happened around 2021-2022. Everyone and their dog was getting a tech sales job out of high school and getting $200k+ by getting promoted to account executive after a couple of years of working as an SDR.

Guess where all of those people are now? They ALL got fired, only very few tech salesmen left. It was simply a boom of free money flowing around that gave them those astronomical euphoric salaries in the first place.

But next year I'm betting they'll lower rates, and every asset will pump, including crypto.

BlackRock will endup with a Bitcoin Spot ETF and Ripple will win the case against SEC.

Crypto will moon late 2024 - early 2025

          >But next year I'm betting they'll lower rates,
Not possible. The US debt has been doubling every 8 years for decades, and we're currently paying $1 trillion in interest annually in just federal debt. If you add in state, local, and personal debt, the US has more debt than it can ever pay off. High interest rates are the new norm. We can't tax our war out of this because 50% of our GDP is government spending. That means we can only raise the cost of administrative overhead of running the country.
          Welcome to the new normal.

            Anonymous

Wouldn't it be better for US to lower rates to service the debt cheaper?
            I am missing something?

              Anonymous

              >I am missing something?
Yeah. You're missing the fact that it will continually be harder for the US to print money, because it's clear we don't have the ability to pay it off. Lowering the rates opens up monetary expansion, driving up inflation. While this inflation would make it easier to service our debts, it would also turn us into a Venezuela or Zimbabwe, while also scaring off people that would want to buy our treasuries.
In other words, we don't have the option of low interest rates.

I agree with you, but they have to do it at a rate that doesn't scare away the people buying our debt, otherwise they lose that ability and we enter Zimbabwe style hyperinflation. Unfortunately we're doing crazy things. We spent more on 1 year in Ukraine than 20 years in Afghanistan. Our politicians are like an 18 year old with a credit card that doesn't understand the high interest it's racking up.

The easy solution to that is to create instability in every other government bond, which is trivially easy for the sole global military superpower. The only real competitor currency is the Euro, and the US has the EU by the balls through NATO and Russia is playing along by threatening the EU's buffer state. US withdrawal from NATO would crash the Euro so hard it wouldn't even be funny. Also got China by the balls because it would be trivial for the US to blockade them from oil, which they desperately need but don't have the blue water navy necessary to protect the entire trade route from Iran around India and through southeast asia to get to China.

Because of all that, the US will continue to export most of its own inflation to the rest of the world. Read Zeihan.
