I’m so tired bros. I’ve been working for the same company for 8 and a half years. Last year I made 90k and it’s all WFH I get to bum around a lot but it’s 6 days a week. Im still sick of being confined and restrained. I spend most of my time lying down and scrolling or watching YouTube on my phone. I don’t keep my blinds open because the sun reminds me of what I’m missing out on. I used to be a commute to the office wagie and wonder how the hell I managed when I can barely even brush my teeth anymore. Does anyone else WFH have this problem? I’ve been WFH for 4 years now and it was great at first but now I’m starting to think those office boomers might have a point. I have zero motivation to anything and I have 5 million of a low cap alt coin I pray can get me out of this hell + 30k liquid

Similar situation. 6 years in WFH (almost all my working life). I used to be similar to you a year or so ago (just tired of wfh and no physical interaction). I started consulting on the side and that now gives me an outlet to go out to conferences and meet people. My boss doesn't care as long as his work is done so it's a win win for me. Brought in an additional $2k from consulting last month so not bad spending money.
I'm also studying for my MBA so that works too.
Same situation. WFH since the pandemic started with 90k salary and felt lonely so I jumped on the dating apps trend to meet people and now feel a little less lonely. The problem with WFH is that it's hard to separate your home to the work environment because our whole time is spent at home. I think having an office space at home would help but I don't have the space
The real question is how do you only have 30k? I saved up so much while working from home. What are you spending your money on?
i tried the dating apps but im too ugly to get any matches i guess. its very lonely working from home. there doesnt seem to be anywhere to meet people now that im out of college, and college wasnt particularly great either since it was virtual for half of my time there
I work in IT and I go to the office 4 days a week. I havent felt this alone in a while.
I go to office, maybe see one or two people at the coffee machine, make coffee, go back to my desk, my entire side of the floor is empty, literally 0 people.
I just work, then second coffee, then gym and go home.
Its a very interesting feeling, i noticed i started talking my myself more, well not rly talking but more like mumbling and telling myself jokes or things i notice.
I dont know how healthy this is, i applied for a job at mcdonalds so that at least on the weekend I can talk to people

I started working in early 2019 as 40h commute to the office wagie. I was so fucking hype to finally be le epic programmer at big corporation.
I'd work 40-50 hours a week, commute, go to the gym every day, go to various after work events and still have time to meet friends and program on some shitty games at home.
I'm WFH since 2021 and it has all gone to shit.
I lay around, do the bare minimum, and can't even clean my place anymore even though I have *literally* all the time in the world.
I am approaching asmongold lair status and honestly I don't know how to break the cycle.
All that remains from my glory days is the gym, I still go 5 times a week, but it's barely helping anymore.

yeah honestly WFH kind of sucks if its for a company and not just being financially independent. its harder to leave work at the office and so it feels like your whole life you are working, even if the job is easy

10 year trade wagie checking in. Never done wfh. I have long and daily commutes to work and I’ve gotten tired of this shit years ago. It’s in a company vehicle with all expenses paid for, but I barely have the motivation to do anything but the bare minimum due to having to leave the house everyday with little rest time when I get home.

Aber wenn du gerade angestellt bist dann ist das auch Erfahrung. Lüg einfach so viel wie du kannst. Solange Firma + Zeit stimmt kannst du eigentlich für die eigentliche Job description erfinden, was du willst. Musst halt nur im Interview halbwegs glaubhaft rüberbringen.

Wollte eigentlich erst nen riesen essay schreiben aber ich belass es mal dabei: Wenn du einmal in der richtigen Firma bist, geht's schnell nach oben. EG9 ist hier in Bayern für jeden Dulli drin und das sind irgendwas mit 60-65k bei 40h, die EG10 hast du bald safe und dann kannst du chillen oder eben noch mehr grinden.
ich wohne nähe vw, deswegen versuche ich darein zu kommen, finds halt nur schwer oder komme mir machtlos vor da rein zu kommen, weil ich das nicht beeinflussen kann, sondern nur die hr roasties .. hoffe ich werde es bald schaffen das hinzukriegen was du beschrieben hast

Ich glaub in Deutschland ist noch nie jemand wegen Schlechtleistung gefeuert worden. Nix können ist vielleicht etwas übertrieben. Sie brauchen halt 6 mal so lang wie jemand ders kann.
