My dealership didn't want to sell me a Tacoma without the extras so I complained to Toyota via email and threatened to buy a Honda Ridgeline and they built one for me for $39k. Any good version of the Colorado or Canyon WILL be $50k and it WILL have a huge iPad and it WILL have 4 cylinders and it WILL be autotragic.
>I'm considering getting a 2023 Colorado Z71.
that was one of my top contenders but it didnt have the option for the right transmission.
>want to buy a $35k truck >can't put down $14k
Yeah maybe you shouldn't be buying a $35k truck.

It's not buying the truck though, it's leasing it.
199x42 months+13800 due at signing= 22158 dollars for the privilege to drive a 35k pickup for 42 months, and you have to return it after
Unironically the dumbest board. Its a sexy truck I didnt like the way they did their options everything I wanted pushed it to 50k and threw in shit I didnt want. Turbo 4 banger and solid rear axel is not what I want and the back seats are still small. I went with a honda ridgeline and am happy with my choice over this saved me like 10k as well
I don't get how anyone can afford the full size one's unless they're making six figures which most tradies certainly are not, and if you're not a tradie I don't understand why you'd need or want one in the first place.
>I don't understand why you'd need
Post your 1.2l shitbox.
You've been indoctrinated to live a "sensible" life in a 300 square foot apartment while your MP takes vacations on a private jet and your tax money pays for Achmed, his 3 wives and 8 children to live in a 5 bedroom house.
Go ahead, post where you live so I can look up your representative and current refugee numbers.
Anon the lowest of the low base model 1500s/F-150s/Silverados all cost at minimum 60k CAD after taxes here and interests rates are like 7-9 percent right now depending on how long the term is.
All this is assuming the dealer will sell it at the recommended price too and won't jack that shit shut up even more.
Also most people don't get the poverty model so they're buying probably 70-90 thousand dollar (CAD) trucks.
They're nearly the same price as a corvette for a midrange model.
How the fuck can so many people afford that here when the cost of living is threw the roof and our wages are crappy compared to what America fats are making?
>Why shouldn't I?
Go for it unless you can't afford to buy one. Biggest mistake of trugg buyers is that they can't pay their full term, so not only did they pay a lot of money, but they lost the fucking truck in a repo.
Interest rates are pretty high right now and the economy is unstable. It's better to either keep the money available for other needs or to not be saddled with a new vehicle loan right now.
I love my 2019 V6 after the transmission was flushed and I did a tune on it, but I wouldn't buy an i4 one. I'd sooner go with an F150 or Ram 1500, both which are available with rear lockers at low trims (GM uses the G80 in their colorados with a tow package). The new frontier has crossed my mind as well. I'm still not sure I trust the newest tacos but I haven't researched them in ages. I do know that I wouldn't bother with 4x4 and open diffs though, because I had to pull a Tundra off a lake mead overton boat launch ramp when his wheels kept spinning out. All I had was the rear locker and I carried him smooth like butter.
An f150 with the extended cab isn't much bigger than my colorado. They're very comfortable though, and I was looking at the XL 3.5 ecoboost. The older frontier was too small for me, not sure if the new ones are bigger inside. I also loved the f250 tremor package I test drove, but it was a bit too big for me. Also it was way beyond my price point.
I’ve been eyeing the new Frontier since it’s a V6 standard. I have issues with the heavy steering at low speeds (compared to my 16 Fusion) and the non telescoping steering wheel sucks.
Only other thing that interested me was the Maverick (significant difference I know) since it drives a lot like my Fusion but the seat height doesn’t adjust at the forward end of the seat (towards knee) forcing me to sit much closer to the dash than I prefer.
Not trying to bang your purchase but y didn't you go with the Honda Ridgeline? The Honda v6 is great. I have the pilot with 269k miles just replaced alternator a few times. It has towed load hay wagons and cow calf pair. It goes off-road better than most trucks
Idk, I want one too. Tacoma looks good on paper but will be like $47,000 plus tip
I think I want an older 3.6L but I keep reading About transmission clunking
I drove all the mid sizers

You done good, kid.
It's a real bummer the midsize truck segment competition is back but all the offerings are the same and/or shitty now
Because you're paying half ton money for a small truck.
Dumbfucks, everywhere on this board
If people want half tons, they buy half tons
How about you look at real world prices before saying stupid shit like that? Don't ask for fucking advice if you don't want it.
Kek, mid sizers keep their value better. Except for the Tundra
The Tacoma holds it's value. The shitty GM twins sure as fuck don't.
>Weeb tax good
not a weeb truck you spic homosexual
>199/mo
>14k due at signing
holy fuck
And millions of people fall for that shit

Trade in will eat up most of that 14k, if not all of it.

>calls others dumb
>buys a Ridgeline
I gotta ride around in something while your mom recovers
Why are you riding around pointlessly? Too afraid of walking in on the bull?
Nah just leave a little time for her to wash out her clapped out hole so its not like churning butter
>Turbo 4 banger
>is what I want
>in a truck
>Unironically the dumbest board

Were you hoping for IFS/IRS? Why?
The ride quality is far better with IRS
You're mom rides me with her IBS
>(Irritable Bowel Syndrome)
You a real one

Go be a euro somewhere else. Here in America a half ton is just as affordable as a 1/4 ton. Fast food workers can afford half tons here.

It sounds like you live in Ontarindia. It's not that hard to afford a $70k truck when you make $100k a year as a trade worker with no student debt.
>I'm considering getting a 2023 Colorado Z71.
that was one of my top contenders but it didnt have the option for the right transmission.
doesnt that truck have a 4 banger and it still has cylinder deactivation?

The 4cyl ruined that truck. The v6 and diesel were such phenomenal offerings.

Absolute poorfag mentality

You're going to pay out the ass in interest.

>Colorado Z71
>Escort GT
>Shelby "Charger"
What do these vehicles have in common?
If you pay $45k for a 4 banger, I will beat you with a shoe.
Göyslop.
