Pretty much any occult tradition is gonna be fine unless it's a branch of Christianity or Islam or something, and even then they may be more accepting than the general public just based on them kind of being outsiders themselves. The left hand path traditions like Draconianism and theistic Satanism especially give absolutely zero fricks about whether or not you're LGBT.

Since you're just starting out, I'm gonna recommend that you practice through the first three heads that the author talks about in this book (https://usa1lib.org/book/18607937/f7fac4), this will give you a good foundation that you can use for any occult practice.
If you want a historical overview of different LHP groups and what they practiced, I'd recommend reading through this https://usa1lib.org/book/5742875/aa6ae5, although just as a forewarning the author is a member of the Temple of Set and kinda shills it a bit. Not to say its a bad organization, just a heads up that he may be a bit biased

You may want to start with Thelma first, https://oto-usa.org/
They believe that everyone is entitled to reach a certain point within the OTO so it may be a decent idea to start with, however I know of at least two other orgs that offer to help people through the basics as well, namely the Temple of Set (https://xeper.info/) and the Temple of Ascending Flame (http://ascendingflame.com/). Regardless, I would still really recommend teaching yourself as much as you can as you shouldn't rely on others to teach you every single thing

          Anonymous

Not OP but ive read a lot of Ascending flame material but they kind of assume that you know the basic shit. Energy work, meditation technique, lucid dreaming etc

Do you have a book you could suggest that goes over the technical stuff? Thanks

Like I said in the first half, working through the first three heads talked about in Apophis will give you a good foundation that you can use for any practice

    Christianity.

You may have heard that God hates gays, but this not true. The original hebrew text mentioned pedophiles, not homosexuals.

"Murderers, Pedophiles, and Liars" that sounds like a list of evil people.

"Murderers, Homosexuals, and Liars" I think that one of those things is not like the others.

Do not be torn from faith. Do not be tricked into thinking that you cannot trust God because you are in the LGBT.

im sorry anon but this is simply not true. the word זכר means male, as in the male sex as opposed to female. ( https://en.m.wiktionary.org/wiki/%D7%96%D7%9B%D7%A8 ). however, the original verse has some stiuplations. it states (...משכתי אשה...)which means "as with a woman". so if you sleep with men NOT as with women, or don't sleep with women, you're fine (i'm not bullshitting. this is a genuine argument used in some israeli circles)

      Anonymous

Lie, the original Hebrew text mentioned men fricking men, not pedophiles. And Paul intentionally coined a word, not attested before, in a reference to Old Testament, instead of using already existing and perfect "pederast" - this says everything.
Would you call a pedophile "male-fricker" or "boy-fricker"/"child-fricker"? Because "arsen" means "male", not "boy". You're fricking logic.

So recently I experienced something pretty scary that really opened my eyes. I went from doing drugs, saying bad words every other sentence to praying multiple times a day.
Anon, I’ve been struggling with the idea of “will God reject me if I take hrt?” Personally I don’t know the answer to that, but I do take it, and I just keep praying in faith believing in Jesus and have made a genuine attempt to change my ways.
Anon, I’ve been seeking God with my heart and mind open and he has been revealing himself to me in different ways.
If you try, it might just change your life. Love you fren.

It doesn't contradict anything if you consider that the Christian god is basically a benevolent Eldricht horror. We understand very little of how he functions or why he does what he does, we just know that he means well.

God that is almighty, all powerful, and all knowing. God surpasses human understanding, time, and space. God is perfect, he does not make mistakes.
He sets and allows certain obstacles in our lives because it’s all part of HIS plan anon. To those who don’t *know* God, they think he doesn’t love us, but that couldn’t be further from the truth. Just because life gets you down or it isn’t perfect doesn’t mean God doesn’t care. Everything happens in HIS time.

yep, god = reality. it doesn't make sense for me when people talk about god as if its some guy with a plan. it's reality. it's the way things are. not some guy, and the way people talk about HIM suggests they see him as some guy rather than the fabric of everything.

god is a schizo moron and so are you, he is "beyond understanding" because he doesnt make any sense. just because he was born with magic and shit doesnt mean he is smart or that you can trust him to tell the truth. he just tells people he is smarter and know better than them because its not like people can argue with him due to the insanely unfair power dynamic. also if he knows everything then he'd also know how it feels to suck the dick of every fat smelly incel on /misc/, idk about you but that is really disgusting and i dont want to be lead by someone like that

You’re right, but the part my mind goes to is treating your body as a temple. On 1 hand I see it as
        >God didn’t create me this way and I’m literally injecting hormones that are giving me feminine features
and if it’s a sin to wear the clothing of the opposite gender that that has to be a sin.
But on the other hand taking hrt makes me happier and instead of spending every waking minute fighting depression, I’m able to focus on God and seek him because I feel happier overall.
So in that sense I don’t know how it could be bad.
Idk I’m still praying about it though, but I get what you’re trying to say.

If you're dysphoric, treating that with HRT would be treating your body like a temple, wouldn't it? It's not very different from taking antidepressants if it's done to get rid of pain.

As for wearing clothing if the opposite gender, isn't that an old testament law? I'm pretty sure Jesus made those invalid.

            Anonymous

            >treating that with HRT would be treating your body like a temple to be honest I’ve never really thought of it that way.
2 thing is for sure though- I care way more about my health, and I’m in a place where I can seek God comfortably.
As for the New Testament making old laws invalid- I can’t say. I’m not sure.

    Of the major religions;

      >Most Buddhist temples, especially zen, don't care
Not really, Buddhism is a religion primarily for straight men, even cis women's position is somewhat shaky in most branches. Legbutts are tolerated, but if you want to become a nun/monk, you'll need to fully detrans (if you're a troony) or repress (if you're a gay/lesbo). Some places, however, are somewhat lenient towards gay monks. They will gladly accept donations from wealthy legbutts tho, but if you ask them to do anything for you, like, let you participate in some ceremony, they'll deny you any service.

I'm not at all religious but I have some weird magical thinking and ideas of how things work and I play around with the occult a bit. Frick around and discover your own truth. You don't have to join one of the existing book clubs, think bigger than that. I was never one much for rules or people telling me what to do or believe, so religion never clicked with me. I like doing my own thing and doing what makes sense based on my experiences and world view.

Buddhism might be worth looking into. Some interpretations can be anti-LGBT, but any hangups they have about sex or sexuality stem from the fact that Buddhists believe ANY sex act, even heterosexual sex in the missionary position for the purpose of procreation, generates Karma.
