I'm 30 years old single no family no house or other expenses no payments or debts. I have saved up $800,000 I want to compete in a motor sport any of them. I want to seriously be good at it and I am willing to devote all my time money and energy this is the only thing I've ever cared about.
buy a brick of cocaine and a 3k miata
I think like drag racing is the cheapest motorsport you can get into because it's usually fricking everywhere
That or desert racing, 2 or 4 wheel.
Maybe stadium supertrucks is an option.
All the rest is just grassroot shit or club racing at this point unless you add a zero to that and start a legitimate business to back your name.
I'm willing to travel so location isn't an issue. I have no roots anywhere or attachments
how did you save up 800k?
grinding away at work, stock market, and having literally nothing in this world I want to own. Even with car I got blackpilled with the does of the 'performance daily driver cool car' pretty fast
>Even with car I got blackpilled with the does of the 'performance daily driver cool car' pretty fast
uh, what?
did you already have wealthy family or something? I make $100k in my early 20s and after rent, basic expenses, etc. I only save a grand a month at best which barely keeps up with inflation. I don't even have a car payment but probably dipped into $4k of my savings this year maintaining my two shitboxes.
At this rate I would only have saved $240k after 20 years.
How in the absolute frick do you have only a grand in savings a month LMAO dude.
Probably living in an overpriced overcrowded coastal shithole.
you zoomers are so ass at this. imagine only saving a grand when you're making six figures. you have less in savings than i did at your age and I make less than half what you do.
>This is the guy gloating and calling you a poorgay.
$100k / 12 months
= $8334 per month - $1000 saving
= $7334 per month towards
>rent
>basic expenses
homie is your "basic expenses" Uber Eats every day and a brand new BMW? Where do you live bro?
Amazing how bad you are with money. Sort your life out.
I have no idea man, but good luck in whichever you choose
You can afford to get into dirt track racing. This is some high test shit.
I'm in a similar position. Im 37 I finally own my own home with a garage. Ive been grinding away in IT all my life and had a lot of savings. I own a sports bar because it mattered to me. But I've spent all my life working jobs I hated that didn't value me. I'm honestly scared to even drive my car hard because I haven't honee driving skill at all it's just been a grind. Now I've become those old Corvette boomers I always hated growing up who just cruise around and never drive it hard. I feel like my entire life has been wasted. I only cared about cars but I got sidetracked and now it's too late. I sacrificed my 20s and 30s for nothing. I don't value the things I earned when I lack the skill to use them
What is it like to own a bar, anon?
Serious question.
>have some of money, purpose = null
>I want to compete in a motor sport
NPC
You'll never have a soul.
You'll be there too one day
everyone has a breakpoint.
after getting exploited so much not much can be done.
racing school. Ask about what types of races and championship, car market, trailer crew manager, scheduling.
It might be a little too late to be a racer for certain level, and there are plenty other things to do to be involved in racing than being behind the wheel as well.
Motorcycles tend to be the cheapest (assuming you buy jap 600/1000 class) for club and possible sponsorships
>getting into racing bikes at 30 when you've never ridden one before
He isn't running motogp. And if he has 800k in the bank he obviously isn't a mouthbreather like you and can manage the risks.
I didn't buy my first motorcycle until I was 34. I had no prior experience on anything but a bicycle. You'll find most things are easy to do when you stop being a b***h and using your age as an excuse.
why are you talking to me like im op. sperg
what was the motorcycle?
Maybe you shouldn't insult me if you want a bike recommendation
huh?
You insulted me.
anon I first opened the thread 30min ago
have you taken your meds today?
Stop gaslighting me.
300 class or bust
Are there motorcycle places that do bike and gear rental for beginners? I've never ridden a motorcycle so id like to dip my toes in
MSF course
Frick that
places that do bike and gear rental for beginners
Will not rent a bike to you without a license. To get a license you need to know how to ride.
>>I've never ridden a motorcycle
Which means you'll either need to buy one yourself and teach yourself, or take the MSF course, or get someone with a bike to teach you how to ride.
>>id like to dip my toes in
Everyone starts at the bottom. It's not like a rental Porsche you can just sit inside and pussy foot around town for the experience, you actually need to know how to ride or you will frick yourself and that bike up within 30 seconds.
I'm not interested in riding on the street. I'm not gonna put myself through msf and shit
>30y.o. boring unattached loser firstworlder with too much money and no passions, hobbies, interests, or personality
>wants to race
I have good news
you are highly qualified to enter the high-stakes world of competitive race-mixing
hop on a plane to SEA today
and who knows, maybe you'll get lucky and one of your demon hapa spawn will have a knack for the track, and make something of xirself, unlike you
Do you think you're funny or something
800k is nothing for class track racing. Trust me.
Another guy mentioned motorcycles and I concur - a small trailer with tools, a bike, some spare parts and riding gear is all you need.
Anon that's like going to Avis without a license and asking for driving lessons before they let you drive away with a Subaru.
Well find a MX track + rental place then. No license required but I don't think they're going to give you riding lessons.
if I owned my own sportbike and gear would I also get shit for the license stuff?
Get shit where? Off road/MX/trials bikes don't require a license since they are recreational vehicles same as quads or side by sides, so rental places don't ask for one. Most road rental places/dealer test rides will require a motorcycle license.
I'm not asking for a rental I'm talking about track days
No. It's recreational sports on private property, why would you need a license?
I'm not asking about what the law says
Ok you can just show up to a public track day with your bike on a trailer and your gear, and as long as it meets safety regs and passes inspection they'll let you out on track. There's also instructor-led courses at some of them as far as I know, might be something to look at.
Last time I went I got denied because of my race
Good.
NLS if you want a big race under your belt, unironically
Superkart
Dakar motorcycle class
IOM TT
The platforms themselves will be cheap, its the team and consumables that will end up costing money. Look up the license processes for each.
Literally just gatekeeping people for no reason. Motorsports is so gay
Go do racing schools. They are expensive. They will be valuable to you and give you good driving experience and give you a direction of what type of racing you want to do.

idk why these morons are recommending motorcycles to a 30 year old that has never done any 2 wheeled motor things, pretty dumb and you will fall over and hurt yourself and never be able to do it again
