Nah they can make you see stuff that isn't there like a group of people calling you the worst possible things imaginable. It's psychological torture of the highest order. They can even make you say stuff that would defame you or get people to hate you.
I've been on and off many kinds of schizo pills many times since I was diagnosed bipolar type 2 at age 18 (i'm 30 now). The side effects were always unbearable and my symptoms never improved, in fact I have more symptoms now and I am 100% certain the meds are the cause. One med almost killed me because I had an allergic reaction to it, my throat closed up and I couldn't breath. Fortunately I was in a hospital at the time. Make your own decisions, if it's that important for you to explore all options then go for it. I'm glad I tried, now I don't judge people who refuse meds or take them religiously.
The meds don't fucking work. I was on them for 8 years and I heard voices the entire time. I quit the meds and started living a healthier lifestyle (sleeping more, eating right, and taking vitamin b12) and I quickly recovered from the schIzophrenia. The meds jusf delayed my recovery.
