If you could go back in time and hand your post-adrenarche, pre-pubescent boyself one book, what would it be?

The Hunger Games or something, so he wouldn't grow up to be a sniveling pseud
OP here
I read the Hunger games when I was 11 and it didn't help me. I am still a pseud.
Prachett's Night Watch, Jingo or anything from Discworld series really. Something light and witty, yet not dumb.

Animorphs. I regret not reading them while I was still the demographic.
I pretty much exclusively read Star Wars and Trek books up through high school, so maybe something more "highbrow'?
Any good ones? I don't really like either, but I got Han Solo and the Lost Legacy, but I don't really feel motivated to even open it. Is it good, or should I not bother?
At the time I really liked the New Jedi Order but that was 20 years ago now and I haven't kept up with any of it. Haven't even seen the new sequels.
ah, okay. So are there any Han Solo ones you have read? I'm not really into the universe, but I like the archetype.
The Han Solo books are from the early 80s and have alot of wacky shit in them. Good read if your a middle schooler like I was but not as a adult anon.
ah, okay, thank you.

so it's a book about a medic transitioning to another job?
Call of the Crocodile! I’m reading through it with my 9 year old little nephew. Boys love scary books and getting spooked 😉
It's a pretty small book; do you read it with two hands or one?
Unironically the Bible. I had a love of reading (still do ig) into high school, but I was an insufferable atheist nerd between the ages of 12-16, and nobody ever confronted me about it.
The Grays Sports Almanac, obviously.
