If companies are still making these massive, ugly, inefficient pieces of shit I really dont believe climate change is real.

If companies are still making these massive, ugly, inefficient pieces of shit I really don’t believe climate change is real. Surely these would be banned by now for moral and ethical reasons. Yet, they keep getting bigger….

The whole ploy is to get you to spend more money on a turboed 4 banger that will granade itself after warranty period or a lithium battery mined by a Chinese child that will shit the bed right out of warranty. Instead of a nice reliable V8 that barely breaks a sweat most of the time.
And yeah that fiat SUV is ugly as shit.

For picrel yes, because they use boomer tier engines with 1930's tech and reliability.
Jets use jet-a which is basically diesels autistic cousin.

not for long. 100UL was approved for all aircraft just a few months ago. they still need to get an STC though and not many FBO's carry it right now but the unleaded future is here.

    >Average American 90s car weighs 3000pds and gets close to 30mph.
    >Government fuel efficiency regulations kills the car and leads manufacturers to create a new vehicle class excempt from said regulations, the "sport utility" homopod.
    >Average American vehicle in the 20s weighs 5000pds and gets under 20mph.

These SUV's use less fuel than most sports cars so if you want these gone all sports cars have to go too. Are you okay with that? If so why are you here?

      >OP's pic gets far shittier fuel econ (4-5mpg hwy, ~20% less) with a 3.0L 6 cyl than any of the pony cars with a proper V8. And they are all bloated, pigfat excuses for why you didn't buy a sports car

A 3 mpg difference between a 7 seater SUV and a sports car means your sports car is a gas guzzler too... Nice try. You also shouldn't be driving a sports car if you're getting anywhere close to the EPA rating.

          >My car is better per empty seat therefore you shouldn't have fun
          >Because you drive responsibly most of the time you shouldn't have something fun for track days or the occasional back road blast
Frick off with your nonsense. CAFE regs are a farce, have led to more people driving larger vehicles than they would otherwise want/need, caused the auto industry to collapse in 2008 and continue to ruin the auto industry today.

Frick off with the larping lol. You and 99.9% of sports car owners will never take their sports car to a track or push it on the "twisties". Take that away and you're left with an unpractical and useless vehicle that just wastes metal and fuel.

Neither do big v8s. I think you've missed the point by so much you've come full circle and hit the back of it.

My car's been broke for two years because I bought German and haven't gotten around to fixing it. Back when the POS ran I did take it to occasional trackdays, and it was just a shit box 328i. In the future I definitely plan to spend more time on track, and even for those who don't I don't begrudge what makes them happy.
Why do so many people buy some frickhuge 3 row bullshit to haul their 1.5 kids? Are you saying that's not a larp?

It's not a larp. When you fold the third row down you have a lot of room which comes in really handy when you have house shit to do or when you have to haul around a big ass baby stroller. You can fit that plus all your groceries with ease without having to tetris shit. It's also easier to load kids and shit into a vehicle that sits up high. Put the third row up and you can still haul the other crotch fruits in your family.

Same, I have a 3 row euro suv and its just two people in my household, my wife and I dont have any kids and I have seen single dudes in them too. SUVs just ride better on bad roads and companies keep putting money into making them better and leaving sedans by the wayside. It also one of the few ways to get a super comfy car with a big engine anymore.

Muh safety is the only reason cars are getting bigger, heavier and more expensive. The advances materials and manufacturing just cannot keep up with government regulations demanding backup cam, radar, airbags everywhere and such. This is also what killed the muscle car.
