Young people work at grocery stores, get them to come for knockoff drinks and when the pub shuts bring everyone back to your place for kick one then bang a QT.

I worked at maccas and a pub up until I was 26 when I finished my degree and had a really active social life with lots of concerts, drugs and partying. As soon as i started working in am office that all pretty much stopped. Then my gf left me and my friends moved and now I spend literally all my free time in my room trying to cope with the fact all my social prospects are gone and I don't know how to get them back, buy him also not motivated to get them back. So I'll probably die alone and no one will even notice for weeks or months until creditors smash my door down because I haven't been paying my bills and they find my decayed skeleton.

Why don't you just work at a pub again

Very very few young people do those things
The only ones that do are homosexual brats who are rich kids that aren't worth hanging around at all
That's more of a 24 year old thing to do
At most, they save their money and do excessive planning and throw everything they have at going to one major concert or throwing one big party per year

At least that's how it is in LA for everyone I've met or known, maybe it's different elsewhere, but being young means no money and no money means no events so I can't imagine it deviates much

These desires of yours are universal and really only the ungrateful rich get them at the age you are expecting from media (propaganda)

I don't mean like expensive concerts just fun house shows of relatively unknown bands. Tons of people party every weekend, or are part of some music scene that gets together all the time, etc. lots of young people live fun lives.

People live much more boring lives than it may seem. Most people will have a few memories of crazy things they did in youth (which relatively probably aren't actually that crazy), most people will get laid with maybe 2-3 different people in youth (usually with long term partners rather than random hookups), hell most people will probably only smoke weed and never do any drugs beyond that. Yeah it sucks not having anything to do on the weekends or anybody to socialise with, but it's a lot more universal than the media makes it out to be. Unrestrained hedonism is reserved for Roman Emperors, not the boring average joe.

What else do you think they do lol. Most people aren't going out to insane parties and fricking 5 different people every weekend on a wienertail of alcohol, cocaine, and mdma. Spend enough time around normal people and you'll find that they're actually satisfied with a perfectly tedious existence punctuated by the occasional fun event to look forward to. People spend their free time watching Star Wars and Breaking Bad and fricking about on their phones for the most part.

a small minority of people are truly social butterflies on top of being socially successful and they lead the kind of life you're thinking of. that's not most people and that poster is mostly correct but is leaving out one important fact: increasingly everyone is isolated because of the internet. even the kinds of social butterflies we're referring to are spending more and more of their time and energy in front of a screen

wtf is happening with all that 25/27 yo's doomposting?
is that the new thing to complain about? it used to be 30 and now it's 25? what's gonna be next? in 5 years we're gonna see 17 yo's complaining that they wasted their youth and that it's over?
    wtf bros?
romanticizing youth is cool and all until you take it too seriously. there's no such thing an "ideal teenagehood" but in your head.
    it's an illusion!
it sucks that we all fall for it.

They wont admit that they're afraid of life and forming new experiences. Look at how they doompost. What kind of life is this? No friends, no fun, but they never create the opportunity to do so because they rather have all their energy focused on greener grass. Then they'll get there and say the city is gay and stupid.

      this Black person is coping

      >average normie's life consists of mostly just work, netflix, social media.

Look at this joker he doesn't know what normies do because he doesn't know them. He needs data to confirm his beliefs that normies are gross, without morals, and do things all the time.

their heads are filled with doom and all they can see is doom cuz everyone including you, anon, just adds to it "they never create the opportunity". They may have created opportunities but they failed and each failure only adds to their outlook. In their minds it is rotten with negativity and the suffering does not have a stop.

Some of what they say is rooted in reality like how some of their circumstances may just be impossible unless an environment is there to support them. That is what normies fail to understand. Chad would not of been what he was had he not had cruised through life with the support system he was given by virtue of the system he partook.

you arent wrong 17-20 is young as frick and basically still a baby.
But it creeps up on you fast, I mean to say I am 30 and having never lived in my own apartment(space) I feel like I have missed out on a certain milestone or lifestyle and even though I will eventually have my own place I cant get that exp back

Living in a big city would be gay though too many Black folk

I don't even know how to respond when people barge into these threads and rant that you're not allowed to be sad for missing out because it wouldn't have been perfect. Where the frick did OP say it was gonna be perfect? Ideal? No one said that shit. You said it.
If I was locked in a basement from 0 to 16, you would be telling me I missed out. Why is it not missing out just because I chose to be in the basement?

the best years of my life were ages 22-27 when i was doing exactly this shit.

I lived in a studio apartment on the 26th floor of a high rise right in the middle of a major city, i had a small group of friends who were all working office jobs and had plenty of disposble income, we were going to concerts, weekends away, fancy restaurants and bars, dating different girls all the time. I'd still be doing it now except that a few of my friends moved back home during covid and i got in to a long term relationship during the lockdowns

It's not too late for you OP, move to the city, be right in the middle of the action for the urban revival that is coming

    >wake up at 3am
    >scream quietly, smoke a cigarette and drink a hard mountain dew
    >drive to get to work at 4
    >unload truck in either sweltering heat or cold depending on the season.
    >spend the rest of my day assisting Black folk and bratty boomers buying their things, sometimes i get to go outside to help them load their van.
    >home by 2, sleep till sundown.
    >stuff my face with whatever slop i can scavenge from moms fridge
    >back to sleep till 3 am
i havent spoken to anyone but my mom in a non work environment for a year and a half. i dont spend money on anything but alcohol tobaco and sometimes food. on my days off i do nothing but stare at the cieling and ice my feet. now i have 20 thousand dollars but nothing to buy i dont know what to do with all this money im probably going to kill myself and leave it to my only 2 friends who live a thousand miles away

What the frick is this thread, all you guys in your 20s saying "It's over, I missed my chance, boo hoo!" For frick's sake, you're only in your 20s, most people look at you and probably think you're still in high school. You can totally re-invent your life.
I was a complete nerd all through high school, a khhv as you call it nowadays, and after high school it got even worse because I didn't even have my nerd friends anymore. I was a total recluse working at shitty jobs and living with my awful single mother who hated me. Finally I took the money I'd saved up and bought contact lenses and a motorcycle. I started wearing a black leather jacket all the time and going to punk rock shows. Eventually I moved to a bigger city and got my own apartment. My life improved by a thousand percent and yes, I was in my mid twenties by this time. I went from being a hopeless dork to a demichad and I had friends, partied and got laid all the time, and I affected that transformation by sheer force of will.
    >InB4 B-but my autism!
The secret is beer. After a couple of drinks it's a lot easier to talk to strangers, even girls.
