>I want less MPGs, worse handling and ride than a sedan, shitty aerodynamics, fake ''AWD'' that's actually FWD, wrapped up in a black/white/NPC grey homogenous blob of a package that can't offroad for shit
>and I'm not even joking
Do crossover normies really?
Normies don't give a fuck about handling and if they do there are sporty crossovers which will outhandle your shitbox sedan. The quest for handling is literally what killed the sedan. Nobody wants to sit 2'' off the ground and have their body rattled apart by the stiff chassis, stiff suspension and stiff 15 section tires.
They are typically on the lower half of the IQ curve. Most of these shitboxes are front wheel drive biased 4 cylinders with a price tag of a V8 RWD.
>using the word npc
Stopped reading their. Fuck off with your tiktok fetish memes.
>tiktok fetish memes.
nigga wha? man only tiktoker here is (You)
NPC is a tiktok meme. Gang gang. Yum yum! Ice cream so good.
>Their
your an illuterrate retrade
It's refers to non playable characters as its what anons call normoids that can only parrot media talking points acting like vidya game NPC dialog options.
Found the NPC
>80% of people don't like driving
>80% of cars are made for people that don't like driving
Imagine my shock
>"let's force everyone to drive to be able to live a reasonable life"
>cars are designed for people who don't want to drive
>car enthusiasts: *shocked Pikachu face*
>still get upset when you suggest walkable cities
Why do people cry about new cars being gay? Just get an old car. They still exist.
because cars are disposable and will not last forever
No! Mine WILL last forever! FUCK YOU
the rust will consume her one day anon
Thrn I'll keep buying body panels damn it
was just about to make a thread about new cars being gay
Ugly.
Anon we’ve talked about this just because a half ton is more worth the money some people just want their SUV. Yes that means body on frame but I’m worried about your blood pressure when you hear Stacy talk about her cute new Mazda suv she got for only 47900
OP rides the bus.

>I want a car that has been embiggenned inside slightly to fit all my kids and stuff and has a little more ground clearance for that failing infrastructure
Embiggened on the outside, but the inside is either the same size or smaller, and the windows get higher up every year.
My theory is that people want big windows and good visibility, but they don't know they do (in fact they think they just want to sit high up), so collectively the average new car consumer is racing the stupid high beltline into the sky.
>Embiggened on the outside, but the inside is either the same size or smalle
Can confirm. My Focus wagon has a (slightly) bigger trunk than my dad’s XC60, despite the XC60 being a segment higher (at least in European classification) than a Focus. Being an SUV, it takes up significantly more space, a compact like mine looks like a toy next to it, so it’s even more absurd when when it comes to space inside, it’s the other way round.
>sitting high up
Yep, definitely one of the things that people buy SUVs for. I’ve heard a line ‘it’s so nice, you seat so high up’ like a hundred times. They often think it makes them safe and while it is true in an accident, they are much more likely to get into one because these cars drive like tractors and can’t do a moose test for shit.
>visibility
It’s usually awful. High lower window line, hoods that are very high up for no reason (when you open XC60’s hood, there’s a lot of empty space down there, all engines are only 2.0l) - if these things didn’t get cameras and blind spot assists, they would be a major hazard just because of that.
God I hate SUVs. Stupidest trend in the automotive industry. Even worse than coming back to EVs after they died out 100 years ago.
I want a sedan with a higher roof so I can sit upright without my head rubbing the ceiling.
>MPGs
practically no difference
>handling
Practically no difference and also don't care because I'm not a boyracer
>ride quality
what? How is it worse?
>aerodynamics
what? This falls into the same category as MPGs since that's the only thing it affects on a street car.
>AWD
so what? It can add a tiny bit of extra go when stuck in the snow in winter.
>Practically no difference and also don't care because I'm not a boyracer
This one is a specific exception but I want to point it out. If you're on corrugated road surfaces, chassis rigidity is a genuine consideration as your frame is now a suspension component from all the vibrations that result. If you have a rigid chassis, the suspension has a more stable geometry and reaction that prevents traction control and stability control from freaking the fuck out all the time.
Why is a 50 year old woman posting on LULZ?
I like motorcycles and browse around the other shit posted around here.
I don't get the hate, elitism, and whining about other people's choices that don't even affect you. Not everyone wants to pretend they're racing when they commute to work. Besides that, 99.99% of cars are boring and soulless anyway so you're drawing an arbitrary line for something that doesn't even affect you.
It does affect me because in 20 years when I'm in the market for a cheap shitbox the majority of the cars will be high seat fwd piles of garbage
Manufacturers make what they can sell. If you want to influence the market, you need to pony up the cash to buy it new.
Honda's AWD is fine for what it is, RAV4 comes with a hybrid option so it's a pretty good camping car with an extra inverter.
Nissan's offering exists because bad credit scores exist, and Chevrolet's options exist because Toyota dealers are dickheads and it's a domestic brand.
its the I have to carry shit that doesnt fit in a sedan but isnt enough for a truck or van and it snows enough here to want awd commuter vehicle.
ffs your whining about things you dont like is annoying. If you dont like it dont buy it.
These things have zero storage room. The worst of them don't even have rear seats that fold flat.
wtf, is this how the internet distills shit that originated from /misc/ years ago? What you're describing is a whole separate brain virus.
i was lol-ing at all the fwd crossovers trying to escape burningman.
all they had to do to get their car moving was turn off traction control and they couldnt even do tht
Corsover is like a normal car but roomier.
Those are basically minivans of the yesterday just less cucked in the eyes of the normies.
muh offroad
the nissan käskai or whatever the fuck it is in your picture is orange instead of black/white/npc grey
