I think it is underlooked how fast American spaceflight has begun to surpass the rest of the world

US is the only country with reusable rockets, Russia wont have em till 2026 at the earliest, God knows what china is doing
>4+ commercial space stations from Nanoracks, BO/Sierra, Axiom, and Bigelowe
Artemis moon mision
>5+ crew rated craft by the middle of the decade
>SLS and Starship having their maiden flights this summer (China will not have a comparable rocket until 2028)
>Private sector companies like Venus and Radian developing hypersonic space planes

The German scientists were relatively loyal to the US and appreciated the opportunities to pursue research.
All well and good. Yet our technology has now far surpassed what they helped start. Rockets are amazing and a technical feat, but it’s clear that they’re not the most advanced thing we possess.
One small step for a man, many giant leaps for mankind – these have happened and are happening. Try to discourage others from blowing it all up.

China's space program is a joke. Every launch I hear them do ends in disaster.
Maybe they'll get a seat at the kiddie table for starters when they actually do something worthwhile and original in space.

Admittedly I don't follow it that closely but from what I hear it seems rather successful? Rover on Mars, and the moon. A little space station now. They've just at the beginings too.

You forgot Relativity Space is developing fully 3D printed space rockets. Terran 1, an expandable 3D printed rocket will be launched this year. Terran 2 will be developed as a fully reusable 3D printed rocket.

This means rockets will be a fraction of the cost and can be printed out at rapid fire.

    You're right.
Crazy how when launching the Webb Telescope they couldn't get satellites to show what the launch looked like when it left the orbit of Earth.

    ?t=4936

      > Crazy how when launching the Webb Telescope they couldn't get satellites to show what the launch looked like when it left the orbit of Earth.

Is it normal to use satellite to watch rocket get launched?

Can a satellite even do this? I'd assume satellites aren't launched into space just for tracking rocket launches, they are purpose built for other tasks.

          > They had the chance to btfo any space denier. And they chose not to. For some reason.

Because space is real and they aren't gonna spend millions of dollars on a satellite to track a rocket launch to show everyone what we already know to be the case.

          > Why didn't they spend money to disprove my retarded beliefs

And not a single video showing a rocket leaving earth's orbit from space.
We've got plenty of videos showing rockets being launched.
We've got plenty of videos of space.
But somehow we don't have videos of a rocket entering space from earth.
I guess that's a little hard to achieve with NASA's current studio technology.

              > And not a single video showing a rocket leaving earth's orbit from space.

You didn't answer my first questions regarding this. What satellite can do this? Are they not purpose built to do other tasks? Think about what satellites actually are, they're not designed for that kind of work.

              > But somehow we don't have videos of a rocket entering space from earth.

You would need a satellite that is designed for such a task. Are you gonna pay for such a satellite? It's just a few million dollars.

It needs a satellite that is extremely low earth orbit and has high resolution cameras that can pinpoint a relatively small spec at a distance and move at rapid speeds, maintaining resolution throughout the duration of the launch. A satellite such as that orbits the Earth every 90 minutes just to maintain orbit. Meaning you must catch the entire launch in maybe a five minute window.

naggers are America's gods. Americans fear naggers like a mortal would fear God. They're not allowed to curse or speak ill of naggers, like how you mustn't blaspheme God or take His name in vain. They devote entire institutions in academia and media to remind themselves of their sins against naggers and beg for mercy, like you'd beg God for forgiveness for your sins. The only landmarks and monuments they're allowed to revere are parks, schools and statues dedicated to famous naggers, immortalized in marble like gods. While their ancestors expressed devotion to gods through offerings of food and drink, present-day Americans created food stamps for naggers for this very purpose. Jesus gets two annual days of reverence, while naggers get an entire month plus MLK's birthday. Americans prostrate themselves in the streets to appease naggers. This is because nagger worship is the official religion of America.
