flakey skin doesnt mean you need to wash it differently it means its dehydrated, drink more water and look into hydrating facemasks/ better moisturizers. Hyaluronic acid based stuff is great

dont peel or scratch off ur flakey skin, dont overwash it and take colder showers

Where on your face is it flakey? Around your nose and eyebrows? Try using hydrocortisone cream. It’ll be fixed within 30 minutes or so.

I just started getting this this year. I thought it was just allergies during summer, but it’s been like 6 months now of red flakey nose, so I will definitely try this. I just wonder if this is for the rest of my life, now. Never happened before age 31.

I’ve had a similar issue and, while you shouldn’t take medical advice from or even use Tik Tok, using ketoconazole shampoo on the face or any skin part that becomes dry or ‘crusty’ does help. You should apply a small amount on the area and gently agitate with your fingertips until it starts to lather, then leave it on for 2-3 minutes before rinsing it off. Generally you should target the problem areas as well as the t-zone of the face. Obviously, this works for your scalp as well. As says you can also use hydrocortisone cream. I was prescribed something else that was a type of topical solid-ish gel, but I can’t remember what it’s called at the moment. It had the function of hydrocortizone and some other topical treatment for a similar issue, and that has helped immensely.

A lot of the dandruff shampoos have the same medication used to treat a variety of skin conditions. If you have a new skin condition go to a derm instead of irritating your skin with random medications/soaps.

Rub coconut oil on your skin and then put baking soda. The oil helps the baking soda stay in contact with the skin. You have to leave it on for awhile but it will fix any flaky skin.

If you do it for a day or two it will peel away all the skin. Baking Soda is amazing for lots of skin problems.

No, Baking Soda is used in food all the time. Its perfectly safe. People eat it and drink it.

It also happens to be a very good antifungal because of its strong alkaline properties.

Yea just test it out on a part of your skin that is pink or flaking. The longer you have the baking soda in contact with the skin the better. You can re apply during the day if it comes off.

After 2 days you should notice visible improvement and you will see what I am talking about.

Why are you trying to scare him? There have been books written about using baking soda for medicinal purposes. You are just Ignorant.

It may sound strange but I have eaten holes in my skin with baking soda. But the holes were left by the colony of dead fungus and they heal normally.

Ive removed warts and many types of skin fungus all over my body using baking soda.

Baking soda has no effect to normal skin. You can put baking soda on your skin and tape it there with tape and leave it for days and nothing will happen. But if you put it over skin that is infected it will kill whatever the infection is and then you can pick at it like a scab and it usually leaves a hole in your skin.

I used to have red flare ups on my face around my nose and eyes. I would have flaking red skin. But when I put the baking soda on there for a day or so it stopped the pink red looking skin. The skin would peel after two days and then heal to normal skin.

If you have dandruff another thing you can do is put baking soda all over your scalp and then put a hat on and go to sleep. When you wake up you can shower it out and go about your day.

Ive had baking soda draw lumps deep out of my scalp and then they turn to mush and I can pick at the dead skin in the shower. Its crazy.

I did the same thing at the back of my heels. I had some red bumps there on both of my feet. I put baking soda on them and taped it up with duct tape and put socks over it. And after a few days I could pick away the skin and all the red parts were dead. They are now gone.
