I need a good ultility truck/suv for work

Hey bros, askin for some advice here.
Not to get too specific, but basically me and my dad are startin up a new business and we need a utility truck or suv.
We're starting a family business where I live in a somewhat rural red part of the state, and most other businesses in the area use old 80s and 90s F150s, but my dad is against the idea of getting an older work truck and wants to get something from the late 2000s (Nissan Frontiers, Ford Rangers, Chevy Colorado, etc.). He says that an older truck could give people the wrong idea or be less reliable than a newer one. I can understand from where he's comin from especially since he comes from the city and sees new utility pickups all the time, but I've had terrible experience with newer trucks in the past and have a lot of experience workin on older trucks. I also asked around and most of the guys in the business I talked to agree that post 2000s pickups are unreliable pieces of shit unless brand new or Toyotas.
Sadly Toyota's are out of our price range since we've got a budget of around 8-10k

So with the background out of the way, here's the requirements I'm lookin for:
>Has to be Fuel Injected or have an EFI system
>Needs 4WD or AWD (lotsa unpaved roads + real bad winters)
>Somewhat bearable mpg (anything 14 combined or above)
>Reliable
>Somewhat easy to work on/get parts for
>Decent amount of space
>Below 10k in good condition
>Cannot be a 4cyl (we need to haul stuff)

Some ideas I had were
>Jeep XJ Cherokee (4.0L I6)
>Gen 8 or 9 Ford XLT F150 (4.9L I6 or 5.0 V8)
>Nissan D21 XE (3.0L V6) or First Gen Nissan Pathfinder
>4th Gen Chevy C/K 1500 (5.0L V8)
Would list Toyota's but then again they are way out of our price range in good condition
Any suggestions?

The vehicles I listed fall under the requirements I put above. I was more looking for advice on which one to go with or other vehicle suggestions I hadn't considered yet. Doesn't have to be older but I want to hear what other people might suggest

Subaru outback would be aight if it wasn't for the headgasket issues they tend to have and if they had better suspension for weight. We're doin roadside assistance, so jumpstarts, tire changes, lockouts, etc. so we just need room for tools, an inverter, 2 jacks, a compressor, fuel storage, jumppacks, etc.. Plus like I mentioned above almost all of the towing companies and automotive businesses in the area use old 90s fords or chevys, so I don't see what the problem with using similar vehicles that they're all using. The issue comes that my dad would rather have a newer looking truck or suv than a reliable one, so I'm looking for suggestions that may fill both boxes. Also every truck I've owned has been a pre-2000 and not one of them has given me that much trouble, where my friends have had me come over to work on their fords and dodges from the mid 2000s due to the radiator exploding or the transmission fricking itself, so I personally would like to stay away from those but am open to suggestions

go buy a 50 year old truck so you can larp that they dont make em like they used to harder than all of your other homosexual friends with that mindset

Nah I'd rather buy a white 2009 Dodge Ram and have the transmission explode at 120k miles please, or get a 35k loan on a brand new Tacoma. That seems like a much better option than getting a low mileage late 90s pickup or SUV for less than 10k

Jfc you're overthinking this. Buy any half ton pickup that isn't rotted to shit. Do your research to figure out a fair price. There's literally nothing you can't fix on them for under $500 if you can wrench.

Sounds like you live in an area that uses road salt. Find whatever is the most expendable since it’s going to rust out anyway

Past 99 f150s look like shit, if newer than 99 id take a 250. I have multiple fords 1992-2006 and they all seem to get by with the bare minimum for repairs.
