I miss getting assignments in high school, I like researching things and then writing about them, I love learning about new and interesting things and becoming really knowledgeable about them. Is there anywhere outside of school where I can get assignments? Somewhere that will set me a deadline and certain tasks like the ones below?
>Minimum 2000 words.
>Must be about (___)
>Must talk about (___) (___) and (___)
I can't go to university cause I'm a high school dropout and that's going to uni after dropping out of high school in Australia is nearly impossible.
If research is out then maybe reporter of some sort.
All sorts of jobs like that in Australia require at a minimum you be a high school graduate and very rarely will you graduating high school be enough.
if you can ghostwrite grant applications for me i will give you a cut of whatever's approved as a consultant-contractor's fee once the funds are released for the proposals
I have no idea what a grant application is.
the correct answer is yes. you should accept it and give them an email so they can contact you. They will give you a topic and a word count and you have to adhere to it and they will pay you for it. They are outsourcing work to you which you can unironically use as copywrite and consultation experience.
fuck this retard send that work to me idgaf. just hook me up with your jstor and medical journal account logins so I can properly source my shit and do recreational research when I want
do a internship at a news agency?
Just looked at the ones in my city, they all require some form of higher education.
It's almost as if basic education is something most people don't struggle with and not having it is a huge red flag for any potential employer.
I didn't drop out cause I'm retarded, I dropped out due to mental health issues, I'm not the smartest person around but I'm definitely not the dumbest.
Then finish your education to prove your point.
I can't go back to high school cause I'm too old and I can't afford to waste time and money going to a place that will allow me to finish my education so that's pretty much out of the question.
Hell, maybe you're right, but that of course limits your future prospects. In ten years nobody will care any more when exactly you finished your school, but you'll have a certificate.
>but that of course limits your future prospects.
Eh, even if I did finish high school I still wouldn't be anything, I know that I'm destined to be a blue-collar worker working the same dead-end job just barely getting by on a paycheque-to-paycheque basis until the day I die, I've come to terms with that.
as someone that also struggled through parts of my education for mental health issues, that is almost as much of a red flag for employers as struggling through your education for being retarded. if your psyche couldn't withstand highschool, then there's a good chance you would crumble under job pressures too.
It's not just high school that was fucking with my mental health (though it did play a minor role) it was mostly my home life and my life outside of school.
i understand, but think about from the perspective of an employer that doesn't know you. your life outside of highschool sabotaged your education. will your life outside of work sabotage your career? why take the risk when we have other candidates that don't raise the same red flag?
Yeah, I know what you're saying and they're valid points.
the good news is: unlike being retarded, society is more willing to believe that you've fixed your mental health if you have evidence of doing so. the first step would be to get your GED (or however you do highschool equivalents where you live).
you say you want assignments; there's one.
