No you do not, or well, I do not. 2009 was the year that almost everyone lost their jobs in my town when the GM plant closed. They were making spare parts for the Blazer and S10.

Also, do you really want Justin Beaver on endless repeat?

2009 or 1929, which was worse for music?

2009 for most stuff. 1929 is so-so having actually listened to 20s and 30s music.

Do not mind me, I just have bad memories from then, it taints my thoughts about the culture.

if i let every bad memory taint my perception of culture i would only enjoy things before the year i was born
which i do, come to think of it

You just have to find the right things, anon. For me, the good times were the 2000s before 2009, then 2017-2021. I like quite a bit of music from then, but I am more of a rock/metal guy, so pop is usually not what I listen to.

For me, 2009-2016 were not good times, as a result I do not remember the music I listened to then outside of older stuff (I try to block some things out). You could always post some of your stuff from that time, if you want. (Not to hijack the thread, but it is LULZ after all).

nah bro my life just sucks, i do enjoy quite a bit of stuff from all over the board
2012-2016 were my musical exploration years but that's also when i was in high school and i had a purpose, i went to school and saw my friends and got good grades and then i graduated and went into the work force and had all the life ground out of me
nothing feels the same as it used to
even the bleakest LULZcore and most esoteric bandcamp finds remind me of slightly-less-worse times and now there's nothing
so here i am shitposting again

Anon, I feel you. Right now, I am a college guy, it is not as bad as high school. Back then, I used to do schoolwork for 15 hours a day every day, it was expected of us. I went to poking and prodding around different websites and YouTube recommendations finding stuff that I liked. Things are starting to look up for me, I hope the same could be said for you, anon.

Here, I found one song from 2009 that I actually remember: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kLe7smBlSRM

                I liked this one.

Anyway, I am going to sleep now. Have a good day or night, anon, wherever you may be.

                thanks bro
i went to college for a bit and i was always a good academic, but i was bad at coping with some awful shit that happened during high school and by the time college rolled around i was focusing too much on doing shit to block out the memories than i was on my future
even then seems better than now but every day seems worse than the last even when the ones in the past sucked ass
                nostalgia a cunt
                my life was always awful
sweet dreams anon sorry for the emoposting

At least Justin bieber's music was melodic and it was funny laughing at all the hate and negative memes. Compare that to current aimless mumble rap where poptimists and zoomers praise it as deep.

They were a duo (though you never saw the male producer) but they split before the 2nd album which flopped despite being well reviewed

I remember 09 sucking. Even for music (aside from picrel) the late 00s was a deadzone for culture.
