I love what I'm studying in college but hate who I'm around all day. I feel like they're of a completely different people and culture to me, they act differently, have radical different antitheist progressive worldviews, and are all immigrants. I feel super alienated as a result, if I were going to this same college in the time of my grandparents or great grandparents I would fit right in. Now I feel like an alien in my own country, what do I do about this? Find other people who feel similar and group together? I haven't found a single person like me in that way.
which country, iphoneposter?
United States. And don't make fun of me for that, all other western countries are just as bad.
white people were the immigrants, dumbass
We founded this country, what would this land be without us? Move on, it was 500 years ago. Maybe it was bad then but land is taken all the time. Would you restore the Ottoman Empire too?
Come on, bro, you sure it wasn't 2500 years ago? Are you forgetting about Ancient United States?
And would you admit my complaints to be completely justified if I were English or something? Somehow I doubt you would
Anon, at some point, people went to England. In fact "England" is one of those countries that takes the name from the people that went there and not the other way around. As you say, empires raised and fell, we are not at a destination we are in a given point of history and you are ignoring precedentes that are uncomfortable while taking into account things that re useful to your already taken decisions and your desires.
"You" didn't found anything, you were just born to people that could tangentially be related to people that took a land and got the country going. Many of whom committed terrible crimes that, as you say, are just history now, but it's just that all the same "founding the country" would also be.
It's selective memory to believe you are entitled to anything positive to come from it but nothing negative, or that immigration is positive when it was done by those related to you. The country likely existed when whoever might be your oldest "american" relative went to that land, and he/she most likely went there because he/she thought there could make a better life there. How is that different? Because it was before? Do you think peoples studying to make something of themselves are not part of your society. Do you believe an expecif year needs to me marked at which people stopped being worth immigrating to where you live? Do you want them to wait till you are happy and dead?
I am serious, do you exist? Do you ignore all reality in favour of conclusions that are convenient?
You have other issues than that. Focus on yourself and your studies. Stop caring so much about all that other shit until you are stable in life.
I do work on myself a lot, it still bothers me though
>we
(You) didn't do jackshit
So collective ethnic identity is wrong? Then why do people who attack white ethnic identity always support it for other races? I'm an intelligent guy, I definitely would have contributed had I lived then, and my ancestors all contributed to the country. So to be completely consistent you should tell people to never be proud of and identify with their friends and family, to only ever be concerned with themselves. No thank you
Also by your logic inherited and generational wealth is immoral. "Your parents earned that house, you have right to give it to them, it should be handed to some random stranger".
Sorry should be "they have no right to give it to you".
I agree with your first reply but this is bullshit. Identifying with people 500 years in the past because they have the same skin color is not the same as loving your kids.
inheritance is fine but generational wealth is absolutely immoral. no one's grandkids should be set for life never having to toil to succeed if they don't want to
yes, WE, because we are part of a race, a family, a group, unlike you mistery meat muttlord.
It's mystery, you're supposed to be a based superior white aryan and you can't even spell?
>if I were going to this same college in the time of my grandparents or great grandparents I would fit right in
lmao you absolutely would not, even a little, and they'd probably regard you even worse than you do the progressive immigrants
The axes on the graphs are wrong. Tard
Let me get this straight, you think you would fit with people two generations ago and somehow is somebody else fault that you don't fit now?
Do you believe that at any given point in history or place of the world that would be different?
Why make this kind of bait thread, for whom? Am I am really missing something or do you actually exist as described.
zoomers honestly have zero idea of what the culture of their grandparents or old style higher education was like. it's insane
>immigrant complaining about immigrants
What a disgusting shithole.
