You don't. You make up a reason for leaving the job, like everyone else does. Everyone's resume is pretty much made up of some real facts mixed with made up bullshit
>You make up a reason for leaving the job
That doesn't actually work. Your new prospective employer will call your old employer and verify your employment dates, title, and reason for termination of employment. If Anon says he quit, and former employer says "terminated for cause" then the potential employer is extremely unlikely to take the risk. Maybe in other professions they might be willing to give him a second chance if anon checks all the right boxes, but accounting tends to be extremely risk-averse.
"Hey, I fucked up. Just trying to get past this mistake and be better."
Unless you stole money or something, they're probably gonna be willing to give you a chance. You probably have to get a worse job though.
My brother-in-law who's in finance told me to be upfront about getting fired and to say it was not a good fit for me & misaligned with my prior experience.

My firm confirmed they will only share dates of employment - they will not mention that I was terminated.
There is no guarantee they'll even ask. It has become unpolite of late. Should they ask however, the same way you do anything. By finding a way to turn a weakness into a strength.
Why were you fired?
It's kind of a long story - I just posted on reddit for advice. If you want to read, please see here

Then lie there's no reason not to. Say what your brother in law said but just don't mention being fired at all costs.
I'm sorry but no. That's a nonsense reply to me. If you don't want to put in effort here then get off this board. I'm starting to see why you were fired.

count yourself lucky. I got fired from my retail job and they pressed charges on me right as i was going into the navy. I was charged with felonious larceny
Happens to most people just say it, if they only want to work with never have been fired candidates, they are a retardad company and you’re dodging a bullet.
Omit it from your work history/resume.
Depending on the country they won't be able to see it. Also people leave things off to shorten resumes as we work many jobs from starting out to current day.
Also they won't be able to see the reason for leaving.

Get the fuck out of here.
I got fired today. The only thing worrying me is if the new job asks for a reference. I don’t mind lying but it’s just when they start digging

Blame it on downsizing.
