I’ve used Arch many years ago and it still hasn’t solved pic related. It’s not that I don’t know how to use the terminal, it's that I don't want to, and Linux will never be mainstream until the fix this. Think about other less tech-savvy people.

Works on any program that implements XDG portals. If it isn't working in your browser you haven't configured it right. No I will not spoonfeed you.

Install xdg portal gnome and set the portal option in about:config. You also need to generate thumbnails somehow

is the thumbnail filepicker available for desktops other than GNOME?

I think you should be able to use the new gnome filepicker on other gtk4 desktops but I haven't seen anyone do it yet.

I know you can use the KDE one anywhere, but that might just be qt magic

    >gnome
    found your fucking problem
I can't wait for either KDE or Cosmic to knock that piece of shit off fully because what was once a good DE has become the biggest burden for Linux Desktop.
I think Distro maintainers needed to stop shilling that shit as the default 10 years ago
