I think it’s best to just search casual blazer. Pic rel in the link below.

I love them too, but there isn’t really a universal name used for them so it can be hard to search for. Maybe try "chore blazer" "utility blazer" or "unstructured sport coat/blazer" as search terms.

Chinos (cotton twill) are the most comfortable, easy to maintain and versatile style of trousers. They are more comfortable and versatile than jeans, and easier to maintain than wool trousers.

Now if only I could find a good brand that have them in sand khaki.

      >easier to maintain than wool trousers.
I’d argue that is not the case. Wool trousers you hand wash or send to the dry cleaners once in a while, you can have them in a 7 day rotation where you hang them up so they only get worn once a week. They maintain their shape and their crease for a quite a few wears before you need to press them, easy. Meanwhile cotton trousers lose their shape and crease pretty quickly and wrinkle significantly more. Also they’re not moisture wicking unlike wool.

Or I could not have 7 different wool pants, not waste my money on dry cleaning (or time on hand cleaning) and just have chinos I put into the washing machine.

wool pants don’t need as much cleaning, it will actually cost you more cleaning your stincky cotton pants than cleaning wool pants once in a while.

      >low rise skinny chinos
      >tiny shirt collar
      >big coat tiny pants
      >everything looks unworn
      >ugly tie
It isn’t the style its the execution

I think OP’s image sums up exactly the problem with "business casual". Were the trousers cut fuller, the collar points longer, and the chore jacket replaced with an actual blazer this would be a quintessential Ivy outfit. Of course substituting a chore jacket for a blazer is very in vogue with the menswear crowd and isn’t inherently a bad look. The issue which separates a business casual outfit from being tied to a more true style is the details. Business casual is what you get when you take elements from classic American style, but heck up the details; cuts being dated, fabric being limp and devoid of character, maybe even an attempt at quirk done in poor taste. Business casual is what you get when you try to emulate classic casual dress and fail.

So no, I don’t think there’s anything wrong with chinos. I think slim stretch lightweight chinos are terrible.

It sums it up for chinos, I still have those ugly skinny chinos in my wardrobe and I’m gonna use them only when I have nothing to wear until I totally replace them. Slim chinos are still more confortable than the slim denim that everyone wears, it’s a phase that every young adult had when started out wearing menswear.
I still see some grown up men who dress like OP thinking it’s proper business wear and it makes me cringe.

Chinos are the compromise between confort and elegance. Also cotton can be worn all year around while wool can’t.
But wool trousers are even better, the way they fit and how they keep you warm makes them without question the best, they can be worn even in the modern AC enviroment and they don’t even make you sweat if the textile is of good quality.

Wool can be worn all year. There are different types of wool and garments vary in thickness. The wool is too hot meme is just that, a meme. Just don’t buy shit wool.

I live where it gets 40C in summer, so wool is too insulating. Even a thin cotton shirt is too much so figure it out, atleast cotton absorbs moistuire so it’s a little bit more cooling. "Summer wool" here it’s only for spring and early summer.

I live somewhere where it reaches 46, and sometimes higher, in summer. Loosely woven wool is very breathable. Maybe it’s just the dry heat, but I’ve never had a problem with wool in the summer.
