The blade shouldn't be able to slide out. It has to go all the way into the receiver and then it locks to prevent it from sliding out. You might have some junk jammed in the bottom that's preventing the blade from seating all the way.

The Vaquero is a superb design that cuts and stabs well, not so practical but purely for fighting.
The good thing about the Voyagers is that there is about zero percent chance of your hand slipping up, the bad part is that the very aggressive texturing will fuck your pockets up.
I generally carry a fixed blade for personal defense (only if I win the shit lottery and my gun fails or I drop it somehow, of course), so the folder is last resort.
