He is right. Normalgays are filtered.

He has anhedonia. His worldview is refuted because he has a condition that makes him unable to feel pleasure.

all the so-called 'pleasure' found in this world is ephemeral and impermanent, so, ultimately there's no such thing as 'pleasure' here, only an 'appearance' that deludes you

the anhedonia is just a shortcut to apprehend this truth more easily

          >pleasureis ephemeral and impermanent
but so is suffering, man is not an abacus that goes around collecting "suffering points" - it comes and goes just like pleasure; your natural state isn't that of a man with X suffering points today and X+1 suffering points tomorrow, you probably don't feel much andjust need a cope or a distraction

There is a clear difference between "suffering" and "pleasure". Consider bodily pleasures, quenching our thirst, fufilling our appetites, meeting our sexual needs. They all relate in some way or another to deficiency of lack. A lack of water, food, sex. These do not "come and go", rather they are the baseline state that our organism must struggle against or it will die - quite literally in the case of water, warmth, food, or in the case of our genes, sex. This is not trivial either, many millions of people every year literally die of thirst, starvation, exposure. There's nothing ephemeral about our bodies deprivational nature.

If you sawthe truth, you would have “anhedonia” too.

        >He has anhedonia
Yes, and grieving widows also have anhedonia, but I don't try to refute their grieving.
Life is full of suffering, and the need to label anyone who suffers as having a "condition", is actually just a way to discount their perspective as inherently irrational or different.
Antinatalism is easily refutable on its own terms. The idea that we can compare something to nothing, and declare the nothing "better" is nonsensical in itself. Nevermind talk about Nothing's consent being violated.
But dismissing a p.o.v on the grounds that the author has some condition is lazy.
We could equally discount the perspective of anyone that's happy. Anyone in a state of prolonged pleasure actually has a condition called hedonia--that obscures them from seeing clearly the horrors of reality.
We all discount what we don't want to see, or what needs to be unseen to maintain our own state.
A healthy person must believe the afflicted belong to some entirely different, alien class. By those words we convince ourselves we will never be so afflicted either. When someone gets cancer, everyone says "how horrible!", but then we all do our utmost to put it out of mind and to convince ourselves that such horrible things will only ever happens to those different, other people. Perhaps a necessary belief.
And if there is a nuke shortly incoming, with zero chance of escape, what makes me happiest, most functional, is to believe the nuke doesn't exist, but such a belief unfortunately has no effect upon the nuke...

          >The idea that we can compare something to nothing
It's a prerequisite of the concept of nothing. There is also nothing nonsensical in judging the addition of new suffering to the world as bad.

            >It's a prerequisite of the concept of nothing
Nothing is the abscense of anything. How can that be better when there is nothing to perceive of it as better? Relational states like better and worse only exist within existence.

What if we just genetically engineered the population to have the opposite of anhedonia?
