California has been America's economic and cultural capital for at least 30 years.

Enjoy your boring landscapes, ugly women, shitty climate and dilapidated cities you dumb eastcuck.

All I’m hearing is cope and seethe from a guy who spends his time fantasizing and drawing maps about which parts of his generic-ass city remind him of which iconically canonized areas of NYC, a city so globally well-known and respected that random people all over the world can name all 5 boroughs where I couldn’t name a single neighborhood in LA besides “Downtown” lmao

…was that picture supposed to prove that your city ISNT generic?

Can you dirtbike in the desert, ski in the mountains, and surf in the ocean in the same day in YOUR city? Is your city 70F every day all year?

                >Can you do things outside of your city in YOUR city, bro!?
Not denying the geographic location is nice. It would need to be to make up for how actually fucking lame and boring the actually city is itself. NYC is so incredible that it makes people flock from all over the world to a random little corner surrounded by forests because it’s that good of an ACTUAL CITY.
                >durrr 70 degrees
                Fucking pussy.

I just spent a week in NY mostly in Brooklynn and in Manhatten. I did all the tourist shit including museums, statue of liberty, central park, timesquare, aswell as some late night bars and honestly I didn't understand it. It seemed like a second rate cramped dirty city to me. To compare I just spent 3 days in New Orleans and I'm seriously considering moving there. Can someone explain whats so special about NYC to me?

                >best live theater in the world
                >live music (best jazz scene in the world, plenty of other lesser known stuff)
                >river kayaking or ferries
                >biggest variety of high quality cuisines in the world
Plenty of other shit too but this is just the stuff I get up to in my spare time.

          >Hollywood
          >Malibu
          >Compton
These names are as widely known as Manhattan, Queens, Brooklyn and the Bronx. I'm not including Staten Island because no one knows shit about it. There's a reason why film titles like Malibu's Most Wanted, Beverly Hills Cop, Straight Outta Compton and Once Upon a Time In Hollywood work. People understand what they're getting when they hear those names.

I hate all mutts and their cities equally so I have no horse in this but LA is pretty well known. Venice Beach, Silver Lake, Hollywood, Anaheim,.. all sound familiar.
Only Rome comes close to being as iconic as NY and LA, and imho it's much more impressive because it has been like this for centuries and it didn't get THAT well known thanks to constantly shitting out propaganda movies to make itself look free compared to Russia.

The fugitive, dark knight, home alone, the death wish movies, mercury rising, Farris buller, Blackman, Southside (tv show), mean girls, planes trains and automobiles, blues brothers, waynes world, the untouchables, road to perdition, thief, the weatherman, etc.
