>I think it literally might be an effect of being highly conscious - you are actually seeing your eyes' input, rather than the hallucinated reality.
I believe it's signals from other parts of the nervous system too, consequently the experience is the one of a higher cognition than usual, synesthesia and other funky stuff
>2c-e seems particularly bad for VSS. Take care anon. There is no treatment, 99% of doctors don't even know what it is.
it's hyperactivity in the brain, it means you are overloading the nervous system, the nervous system works behind the normal limit you start to see a much larger spectrum of reality. So for most people you experiencing hallucinations.
Worth noting that HPPD and Visual Snow are distinct. You can experience both, but majority of VSS "sufferers" don't experience any kind of hallucinations ever.
It'll bother you for a few days and then eventually you'll forget you have it altogether. I've had some very intense visual snow since I first took acid in high school and it's just like living with a permanent grain filter of sorts.
You'll have more of it afterwards
It's just signals that weren't supposed to end up in the visual part of the brain
It's possible to establish a communication pathway eg. visual to gut, you imagine going through a tunnel and digestion starts up, works without drugs too, but with them you can learn more tricks that work for you on them
Funky stuff, anyway. I'm making sort of an in depth video about it rn which, I'll post on /x/ but you can leave an e-mail address(not your main one ofc) if you want me to send it to you
Visual Snow is super interesting. I've got used to it now after about a decade and don't really notice it.

sorry for shitty mistakes, fucking hate phoneposting lol
Shrooms make it worse
I only see visual snow outdoors and oddly i tried to see it indoors by looking at different backgrounds and shutting off light. Never seen it indoors
>HPPD
>without drugs
Do you know what H in HPPD stands for?
