Four (4) novidya GPUs can't play tombraider?

The GPU involved don't have gaymen driver. It even running the game at all is a minor miracle.

        >four workstation optomised cards using an outdated method of load balancing that hasn't been integrated into games for 10 years or more with no video game specific drivers can't run games
wow and my 12-ton semi-trailer can't drag race a ferrari but which one has more horsepower?
almost like they are built for different jobs! isn't that crazy? why wouldn't they just make everything capable of doing anything?

Cope, NVIDIA no longer supports nvlink nor SLI. So it's an extreme cope, only through software libraries like DataParallel by pytorch can you utilize multiple GPUs. Not on the hardware level midwit

            >Cope
is this an AI generated post? i literally just stated that they tried to use an outdated spec (nvlink which he referred to as SLI)
how am I coping when I said the exact same thing you did, "midwit"

Very cool, but it won't be popular with the children here. They'll see HP and react with
    >Nooooooo HP sucks cuz I need a prebuilt. LTT told me so!
Then they'll see that it's a workstation, and freak out at the prefix of 'work'
    >Nooooooo I need to play muh gaymez.
Then they'll recall that Dave Packard worked as Deputy Secretary of Defense in the Nixon administration
    >Nooooooo ---
Just kidding, LULZtards wouldn't know that.

Protip: They have big sales when the product lines are recycled. You can usually score some good gear for a bargain, and they'll usually be under warranty too.

When does that happen? I have no idea this actually happens

Randomly it seems. I'm not in the US, but that's a pretty nice deal.

I need an os that doesn’t spy on me for one. If it can’t run Linux then it’s useless to me.

Im planning to buy a HP z840, but if it can't run linux then its over

Most of the Z Workstation can run Linux.
        Modern stuff:

Why isn't HP paying me for this shit?

but still don't know what the fuck is going on

I'm buying one (hopefully) with a rtx 3060 12gb and i want to run arch on it, but can't find anything related to arch distributions only rhel, ubunutu and suse

If it's "Certified" to run on Ubuntu/RHEL, then I'm certain you could find a way to make Arch work.

what drivers do i need to check? motherboard, gpu and cpu? or how the fuck is this work
i hope some turbo autist already made it working with arch

Just to clarify when you see "certified" drivers. That's for someone that wants to set it up, and never touch it, and be guarantied that the machine will run problem free with a certain set of programs. You're very likely to find that more modern drivers perform better. If some old version of Ubuntu ran on that thing with no problems, I highly doubt there will be an issue with Arch.

thanks man, seems like z4xx works fine with arch based distros and the specs are very similar so i guess it wont be a problem and i also found an arch forum thread where they used z840

Since you guys seem to know about video cards, would this machine be any good? I kinda want to get started doing some AI stuff, like prompts and what not. I'm thinking of getting 16 GPUs?

Unless you're doing something rudimentary don't look at anything less than 64 video cards

I have a big house, so might pickup an HPE Frontier. I just need to hide Pepe's in images, nothing too crazy.

How do you cool those? They have no fans they're designed to be slotted in one of those server racks with loud fuck you fans. This config makes no sense

There are fans and a bit more complicated airflow rerouting that's not present in that image, take a look at the linus vid

Oh I didn't notice the blower fans until after I did the post, I thought they were those nvidia server cards with no fans just a open end where the air goes thru.

What I know is the A100 doesn't have fans like the one you posted
