My sister is going through some rough times and I want to let her know that I still care for her and that I love her. She seems like she would appreciate someone saying those words to her. I don't have a clue on how to say it though. Do I just walk up to her and casually say that I love her?
How to tell my sister that I love her?

Give her a hug, stupid.
#Method 4: "Hugging a Family Member"
NOT ANY OF THE OTHER HUGS!
Istg there's a Wikihow for everything
A really surprising amount. Pic related is fake, but still. I've seen some wild shit on wikihow.
Give her the old lickaroo
Inb4 it's some incest shit.
That was somewhat funny. I'll give you a (You) this time.
There's some problems with that. One being that according to my mom she hasn't left her room in weeks for me to corner her and the other being that she's not weeb that would appreciate the idea of her twin brother trying to recreate a scene from a generic shojo manga for her entertainment.
you said twin sister. ok.
>according to my mom
do you live under patrick's rock? now that i read this again it could be a good idea to take her for a trip as 2. if you have a car it's easier. somewhere you haven't been or somewhere you know she likes (that is far from home in a different environment). if she says no, ask her again the next week, next week too, next week too. eventually she'll say fuck it. the worst mistake you can make is coming off as retard who thinks he knows what is best for her. better to play the character of a retard with good intentions than that of sigmund freud on his 5th coffee, in the eyes of women at least.
How do you recover? It feels like anything you do from then on has huge issues
Corner her kabedon style, look her in the eyes and tell her "I love you".
>how do i tell my sister that i love her?
advice is hard to give here because you didn't specify age gap. you hold a complete different position as an older than as a younger brother.
talk about something cute from the past to start a conversation. a memory from some place some time. one time that she impressed you with something. could be anything. if you chose to talk about hard times instead, be careful not to get too philosophical. put yourself and her on the same boat and avoid coming off as a budget therapist. it has to come off as genuine.
tell her that even if it doesn't seem like it you have her on your mind/she is important to you and that **she** is one of the reasons you are looking forward to the future. talk about where you want to see her go in life. give her an expectation to live up to. the more times you break character or sound a bit out of place in your words the better in her mind. people enjoy seeing others in a vulnerable state.
after this patch, execution will yield different results in her psyche depending on how retarded she thinks you are. if you are a dog, all she will hear is barking, even if you are reading newton's proofs to her.
good luck anon.
Thanks for taking the time to write all this, anon.
>that **she** is one of the reasons you are looking forward to the future. talk about where you want to see her go in life. give her an expectation to live up to.
This might be a shaky topic to bring up with her, given her current predicament.
>do you live under patrick's rock?
We went to 2 different colleges so we lived in 2 different cities. She dropped out and I still attend so I don't get to interact as much with her.
>better to play the character of a retard with good intentions than that of sigmund freud on his 5th coffee, in the eyes of women at least.
Yeah, definitely. I don't think we've ever shown each other any signs of affection or care within the last decade in the first place. Suddenly saying how much I appreciate her existence would come out as weird. Plus I'm not good with expressing things like that and I feel like I would end up making it more more awkward than it needs to be.
It's a bit hard to talk to her when you don't have a topic to talk about.
Just talk to her my sister always seems happier when talking to me
You could do it all casual like, but since you say that's not been your thing it might not come off well.
How about you just say something like:
Heard you're a bit down atm. Love to find out what's going on because you're my sis and I love you even if sounds weird me saying it since that's not really something we do. If you'd like a brotherly shoulder to cry on or a sympathetic ear, I'm here. We don't even have to talk, maybe we could hang out like at the movies or sit in the park and feed the birds (seeds, not bread), or boardgames, or Mario kart [you know how long the list should be and what should be on it]. Just send me a message. I've got classes at ... but I'm free ... if you want to hang. If you're not down atm give me a call anyway so we can be catch up like mature adults.
W advice if she doesn't swallow 5 pills from hearing "i've got classes at" and "mature adults"
