Hide the phone, video games and computer as long as it takes until you are desparate enough to read the thing. Start small
Best advice.
FPBP. I don't have a problem with concentrating on reading if my phone is elsewhere.
YOU don't because you can't.
Read better books and the problem will solve itself.
poor dog suffered severe burns
nigga they put a piece of ham on his head
to cover the burns
Try going to gym and then reading. You'll be more alert after working out
Progressive overload.
Read for 15 minutes today, then tomorrow read for 16, then 17, etc.
Eventually you’ll be reading 48+ hours straight
Agreed to putting away the electronics but have you tried reading books you actually enjoy?
drink (way) more coffee and hide your phone. also maybe go sit somewhere outside to do it.
please don't post the ham dog

U ain't nothin but a ham dog
autism
This is a sfw board man I don't need to see shit like that
Read fun books. Don't crawl up your own ass and insist on only reading classic literature like everyone goes through a phase of as a teen. Mix it up. Get some non fic or classic literature or whatever but then also some genre fic and if you're fed up of one switch to the other for a bit instead of stopping reading altogether.
Also don't obsess about reading too much, it's just a hobby.
honestly for me readmaxxing was all about the orbital relations between me, qt, and book.
once you remove that there is only the fact that there is a logic behind it, so i stay for that part but actually consume a lot less
just read what you like and stop caring about what others think. reading shit i actually liked helped me a lot in every aspect of my life, especially time management.first i had to sneak in a couple pages every now and then, and now i have to dedicate hours to reading per day.
