Hello everyone, recently I've become more interested in religion, specifically Christianity and Demonlogy.
My question is, if I was under demonic possession/attack, how would I come about defeating/slaying the demon for good?
I understand not all demons are equal, so I'll lay out some examples
>Level 1: A demon that has not taken physical form. Uses demonic temptation/thoughts are perhaps demonic possession if it is strong enough.
>Level 2: A demon that has taken physical form, but does not display sentience. Acts wrathful/animalistic, cannot be reasoned with.
>Level 3: A demon that has taken physical form, and has the same cognitive functions as a human, possibly greater. Extremely dangerous.
Would:
.A Crucifix.
.Being Baptised.
.A strong faith in the Lord.
.And reciting the Lord's prayer.
Be enough to repel or even defeat these demons?
What other measures can be taken to stop them?
>My question is, if I was under demonic possession/attack, how would I come about defeating/slaying the demon for good?
go to your local bishop and ask for an exorcist
you goys are gonna assume i'm a catholic believer and practitioner but i'm mostly an atheist-occultist in religious matters
it just happens that catholics have it
not sure about orthodox christians
but no other organized religions
iron repels demons. and Golden Light like the sun. imagine the Light blasting from your being ( can be a specific body part )
and i assure you the demons will piss their pants and be basically vaporized if you are full of enough Light.
You're worsening it by worship of demon YHVH
First of all, you cannot. It is God who drives out a demon during an exorcism, for example.
Second, your list of measures is fine, but many saints attest to the power of reciting the Rosary.
Third, if you seriously suspect that someone is demonically possessed, contact your local Catholic parish. They will do a comprehensive mental examination to rule out mental illness before they even consider performing an exercise. They have a good dose of skepticism.
>performing an exercise
exorcism*
>They will do a comprehensive mental examination to rule out mental illness before they even consider performing an exercise.
I dont get that, all mental illness is caused by demons in the first place.
the first demon that was removed from me was one that causes depression.
Not necessarily. It could be a completely natural problem. At least in the Catholic faith, all known natural explanations must be exhausted before considering a supernatural one. The same is true when assessing if an event was a miracle or not, often when investigating whether to canonize a dead person (in heaven) as a saint (to whose intercession the miracle would be attributed to).
the natural is influenced by the supernatural. the supernatural comes first.
also its not up to us humans who is a saint and who is not. the scriptures state quite clearly who is considered a saint. and the Lord has the last word on that.
Ask the Heavenly Father to give you a weapon and go to battle against it.
This is my style!
Also walk across running water.
LBRP
Most of the creepies come from evil people directing malicious thoughts at you; especially if they're close to you. Anyone chemically operated is channeling evil without even knowing it.
Fucking retarded homosexual Christian.
You can destroy demons with just your fists and electric magic manipulation.
If you’re unable to beat it without fagweh’s help, then you’re a rtarded fucking child nagger idiot.
I have destroyed multiple demons just by myself, no prayer needed. What have you say for yourself? nagger useless homosexual
>I have destroyed multiple demons just by myself
you cant destroy demons, their fate is the eternal fire, meaning they stay alive.
Only Satan is made "eternal" like that and yet he will taste death before the day of judgement starts. All angels will taste death even. The last one will be the one who blows the horn. He will be recreated then made to blow the horn that starts the day of judgement.
not based on scripture.
It is based on scripture. You think satan is eternal and wont taste death? Every living being besides God will taste death.
quote the scripture then. I have read revelation recently and know what it says.
so please back up your claims.
Fallen angels (meaning demons, including Satan) are pure spirit, while humans are spirit and flesh, and animals are only flesh. Spirits are immortal. Those spirits which have chosen to eternal separate themselves from God (fallen angels and unrepentant humans), will have to exist in an eternal state of being that is forever apart from God, also known as hell.
If you can do something as impressive as destroying demons, I'd think you'd be more calm and self-assured.
If you plan to roleplay, at least don't come off as neglected teen who lies online to get recognition from strangers. Unlikeable, pretentious teen at that.
its not you that defeats demons, its the Holy Spirit.
if you want to defeat a demon you need the Holy Spirit in you.
the Holy Spirit is received by repentance, getting rid of your way of handling things and turning back to God and being baptized.
also in my case I offered myself a sacrifice a living sacrifice to Jesus in exchange for the victims of said Demon.
after that the Holy Spirit moved in and got rid of that Demon within 4 years (would have done it faster but my body was the limit, and boy it was a fucking ride).
dealing with demons isnt a walk in the park. Jesus saves.
just remember its not YOU who defeats a demon. pride is poison in the spiritual realm.
First, you stop retarded LARP. Fighting non-physical, spiritual entities isn't actually fighting them as in killing them in hand-to-hand combat or whatever. They don't die if they never lived. It's not some RPG, Doom game or whatever where you can physically rip them to shreds. No, you cannot do that "astrally" either, not against anything that's truly dangerous. You can banish some shit, but that's about it.
Second, a lot, if not most demon issues are person fucking themselves up, the demons creations of their own, be they regular delusions of ill mind or, if you want supernatural aspect of it, thoughtforms that started to run rogue.
Third, your examples/levels are also built upon some popculture bullshit. Shit isn't divided nor works that way. One can get utterly fucked by a being that's not sentient, someone else can handle and oppose conscious efforts of a sentient being.
Fourth:
>If I was under demonic possession/attack
If you're already possessed or a demon got to you like this, it means that you already failed. You can try to seek support of someone else, be it a deity or representative of some faith/tradition dealing with demons bur you, personally, if you don't already have a degree of spiritual development (and if you do you probably wouldn't let yourself get possessed) and knowledge, are fucked.
>Be enough to repel or even defeat these demons?
Most things you mention there are symbols and expressions of faith and devotion. Those invested right may help. But still, not necessarily if you're already possessed.
Strong faith, good character, appreciation of things decent, lack of interest in things corrupt, working on yourself to be a good and stronger person. Developing spiritual strength and faculties and not sacrificing yourself to anything or anyone promising you things will help. Generally, people of faith or spiritual attainment who nonetheless do not expose themselves to such beings don't get possessed in the first place.
The Horn of the dragon and the Virgins spike are curses.

Sorry, random music I don't really care to check. If you have a comment, you'll have to drop the the normal way, actually write down what you want to point out/me to comment on/regard.
What a redundant comment.
>Generally, people of faith or spiritual attainment who nonetheless do not expose themselves to such beings don't get possessed in the first place.
Water's wet.
>.A Crucifix.
>.Being Baptised.
>.A strong faith in the Lord.
>.And reciting the Lord's prayer.
If someone has some schizophrenic breakdown and thinks he's a demon, or demonically possessed, then likely yes, since he just wants some little ritual; he's basically play-acting.
In general: no, why would it?
Why did christcucks put gargoyls (demonic statues) whenver they built something?
Christ worshipers are satan's sheep.
According to my experience, demons constantly lurk for a chance to affect your thoughts and feelings in a negative way. Sometimes, they manage to capture someone to do their bidding (to use violence against you, for example). You fight them by becoming strong. Unironically exercise, lift weights and stuff. They leave you alone even if they could use someone else to attack you. I guess a punch in the face of a demon-controlled person also hurts the demon. But don't use violence unless you are already being attacked.
Here I was talking about demons "hijacking" the bodies of complete strangers to attack you, like they "spawn" from left field or from behind your back, wherever you're not looking at the moment, to attack you. Be vigilant. However, if you suspect someone you know is under possession occasionally (the demons apparently can't maintain the possession indefinitely) it is more complicated. Still be strong, also be compassionate.
That's also not much how it works. If a demon of sorts wants to mess with you, it won't possess _someone else_ to fuck with you. It will go directly at you and then your muscle mass won't help. HOWEVER, being in good health, both physically and mentally together with stuff in
will help repel such things.
Really, getting full-on possessed isn't easy. If it'd be something that's a sensible, constant danger, in this day of mental illness and depression we'd all be fucked. That being said various negative entities (which we can keep dumbing down to call them "demons") may be able to slightly affect one's thinking and perceptions. All the stuff mentioned, as well as content, understanding yet assertive attitude (think joyous monk kind of stuff) will do a lot to counter such. Meditative practices and intrispection allowing one to recognize which thoughts are theirs and laughing out the others helped many as well.
I was of course talking from the perspective where you are not in danger of being personally possessed, as in you'd really have to mess up your mental state and let yourself wallow in depressive or angry thoughts for weeks for that to be even remotely possible. They'll still try to make you trip up by feeding you ideas in the hope that one day you'd just lose it and do the work for them. I think they can see a little bit into the future and manipulate small insignificant events to annoy you in the hope it cumulatively makes you an angry or bitter or depressed person.
By calling a qualified exorcist of the Roman Catholic and Apostolic Church.
by listening to what they want and making a rational decision that either helps them move on and bother you less or doesn't cause you to make a decision out of your character.
Faith in Jesus Christ is all you need.
cognitive behavior therapy
self driven method of identifying thoughts that trigger emotive response and the associated responses. anon has applied this to all aspects of life with great benefit. control of one's life cannot be over stated in value.
How you gonna think a level 3 demon away?
Start by knowing that the only power it has over you is the power you give it. Stop attesting its supremacy over you.
So you got this demon looking you dead in the eye being like yep I'm a demon and it is you know obviously pissed and ready to go
It has probably killed and seen things that would destroy your mind
But you're like
Oh no no no you can't do that
And that's how you defeat it?
You have to assert the possibility of your victory before any battle begins or you will not have the will to successfully act against it.
It's a good thought for before the fight
But what could you even do against like a big musclebound you know
Dark Warrior Knight type of demon that isn't even smart enough to learn human speech? And it's just barreling at you 150 MPH BOOM
What do you do? Hy words? Clearly you can't physically challenge that type of thing
But if they were subdued before and not in rule of humans completely then there must be a way to fight such a thing
In this context there is no difference between physical and metaphysical
it aint dungeon and dragons, much easier. check history and cross reference with the beginnings of psychology. bring that understanding to current day and use current terminology for a applicable solution.
We're talking how OP has set the criteria
If a physical demon was here how would adjusting one's behavior stop it from destroying everything around you
of course, cognitive behavior therapy techniques are exactly an individual adjusting their behavior.
and the effects of doing so are just as you described.
same page.
I'm going to send a level 3 demon to show you what's up
First off: Right Thinking, Right Speaking, Right Action. Orient your soul towards the undeniable good and true.
Demons work themselves out, but they are tenacious in the way they manifest. Their purpose is to make us stronger. Our purpose is to overcome them so that they will repent and/or be banished. The Big Guy is watching out for us, so just stay true, know yourself, and seek the peace.
Consume the demon eat the demon become stronger demon it's very simple
Can I poop the demon aftereards?
>eat the demon
Ew, do you know what those eat? Consuming spiritual horrors from beyond make tummies ache 🙁
Ephesians 6.
All you have to do is command them in Jesus' name.
It all works fine and dandy until they start reciting back to you and say you have weight on your heart.
Christianity works. Prayer works. Reciting Lord's Prayer, and other scripture works. Smudging your house with sage or cedar works.
Understand that you, as a human being, have been granted authority over demons. Smudge your dwelling, and say: "DEMONS, GET OUT! You have no right to be here, this house does not belong to you, it belongs to ME and my family, and God. You are not welcome here, demon. Leave and never come back!" Say this forcefully and with conviction. When you smudge, make the sign of the cross, and make sure to get every corner, every room
Monitoring this thread, because I'm unironically beginning to suspect that I have minor demonic possession, or at least evil influence in my life. I have a relentless video game addiction that just started in 2023, triggered immediately after a nasty breakup. This addiction has been immensely self destructive, and I cannot seem to crush it. Now I understand how dopamine and addictions work, but more concerning than that, I've also stared noticing really bizarre behaviors that began this year. Every now and then, I'll catch myself in front of the mirror after brushing my teeth kind of staring at myself blankly. I'm also developing cognitive dissonance over involuntary facial movements, like I'll catch my eyes drifting upwards, and my lips might contort randomly, as though I just fucking developed tourettes or something. Idk. Maybe demons exist, or maybe this is just the negative downspiral I put myself in. Who the fuck knows
>after a breakup
You probably have a heart channel that is locked up and your compulsion is a comfortseeking that perpetuates while another part of you shot into the spirit realm. Meditate every morning and before sleep to call that old self. Focus on how you felt and should feel. Plan for set hours of playtime and then quit. Every time you quit after 1800 is a win.
You have to put yourself in a situation where your natural self comes out again.
And workout every other day, look for that acidic empty feeling at heart where you don't want to do what you're gonna do and do it.
>How to defeat demons
Stop imagining that they exist and assuming a life in which you are being excoriated by demons. Stop imagining and developing a structure to things. When you stop assuming this feeling - they'll go away.
