Lust is not sexual desire. Also, when Jesus said that whoever looks at a woman with lust commits adultery in their heart, he is referring to someone's wife. In the context of that statement, he is going through the ten commandments. He is at the point when he is talking about adultery. That's why he says it's adultery of the heart, not fornication of the heart. There's nothing wrong with noticing an attractive woman. There's nothing wrong with jerking off. These are all things inserted by modern Christianity to make Jesus a liar when he said his commandments are not burdensome.

      >Lust is not sexual desire.
      That's precisely what it is.

      >There's nothing wrong with noticing an attractive woman.
Noticing a woman vs. looking at her lustfully are two different things.

      >There's nothing wrong with jerking off.
      Masturbation is gravely sinful.

        >That's precisely what it is
No, the act of lust is actively engaging in envisioning what you would do in your sexual desire. It's an act. Being sexually attracted to a woman is not the same thing.
        >Noticing a woman vs. looking at her lustfully are two different things.
That's precisely my point. Both involve sexual imagery. One is proceeded with, mentally, the other is cast away as a temptation. Also, Jesus never instructed anything on engaging with sexual thoughts on unmarried women.

        >Masturbation is gravely sinful.
Well, that's not in the Bible and completely made up. Sounds like you might be Catholic. I'm talking about Christianity here and Jesus' teachings, not that pagan Christian imagery institution with made up rituals.

All the high IQ Lutherans and Anglicans lost influence or died of old age. Protestantism today is moronic American frontier Christianity with no connection to the global Body of Christ

    1. Remove all near occasions of sin (e.g. all media that show lust-provoking imagery)
    2. When exposed to lust-provoking image or prostitute irl, avert eyes/look away/move seats etc.
    3. If you find yourself fantasizing, pray instead (imagining the sorrowful mysteries/way of the cross helps me as well)
    4. If uncontrollable feelings of lust come, beg God to make them go away (this actually worked for me the first time I tried it).
    5. Wear a St. Benedict medal and/or practice mortification (e.g. fasting, denial of pleasurable activities, etc.)

“St. Benedict faced a great temptation in the form of the memory of beautiful and voluptuous women that he had encountered before. So great was the lust kindled by this recollection that he almost abandoned his vocation. To deal with the temptation, he tortured his body by wallowing naked in thorny bushes, badly tearing his skin but healing his soul. He later told his disciples that after this, he was never again sexually tempted.”

    >how to beat [BASE INSTINCTUAL COMPULSION]?
You practice telling the autonomic functions of your brain, "No." It's really just that simple. Not only is this the preponderance of historical treatment of the issue, it's also the formalization of modern science and medicine. If you don't have the will power to decide it's a problem and practice consciously interdicting between the automatic, animalistic responses fed to you by the unconscious part of your brain, then you'll never beat them, no matter what.
Starting practicing saying, "No." If you can't do just that much, you're a lost cause anyway.

Masterbate without porn. Just use the pictures in your head it's that simple lol.
Also, anyone says they're a Christian and believes masterbation is a sin is not a Christian. Doesn't say anywhere that relieving yourself is wrong like shut the frick up
